Manning Entertainment Centre reviews
22My wife and I visited this venue recently to see David Strassman. What a talent this guy is. Absolutely brilliant show, although perhaps a little risqué for some of the older ladies. What a great venue the MEC is, sadly the seats are a little cramped. Otherwise no complaints. Would recommend a visit anytime.
Attended the Eisteddfod. Beautiful facility. Great seating, everyone has a great view. Volunteer staff, do a fantastic job. Entry is well set out. Toilets are clean. Plenty of parking, some shaded. Enjoyed our visit again. Recommend this facility.
A fantastic venue with amazing shows. The new smaller studio is a wonderful addition to the facility.
We have seen many productions at the MEC, the last Jesus Christ Superstar; no matter where we sat we had a good view of the stage. At times the music overshadowed the singing but was not too distracting.
The volunteer staff are always very friendly and helpful. The foyer area is a lovely space to enjoy a drink and catch up with friends pre and post show.
There would be five stars but the air conditioning is unpredictable.
Great venue to see a show but bottom end (subs) were not strong enough for this type of show.
Lightinf was extremely good.
Enjoyed the show immensley.
I like this venue more than I expected. It is a good place. Best venue in the region. Far better than Glass house in Port IMO. Larger, better seating. Better laid out.
My friend Pam won tickets to see Shelley Basset (Rachel) wow could she sing.the staff at the Taree entertainment centre were just wonderful.
We had the pleasure of attending a live show at MEC on Friday 2nd December.
The front of house staff and ushers were very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them,
They helped make the night very enjoyable.
What a fantastic show from a most extraordinary human being. What a talent Ahn Do is. It is a wonderful theatre as it was our first time there everything was amazing
It's probably a great place for locals, though it was only 1/3 full for the show we went to. But they have no consideration for tourists from out of town, in that their signage is incredibly poor. They have to realise that people often go there after dark for 7: 30 PM shows. In the dark we couldn't even tell which building was the right one. We literally had to use maps and observe which way our car was moving to determine the correct building. Then we couldn't find a parking place for some time and therefore missed the introduction. So we could not understand the performance. (Heaven help their customers find parking if one of their shows should ever sell out!) Staff helped us with disabled family member but it would have been nice if they told us when we booked our seat. When we finished it was another challenge to get out and I had to literally get out of the car in the rain and use a torch to find a way out and the only way out was illegal (do not enter) but we had no choice. One of the locals said that everyone knows about the horrible parking situation so I concluded that the locals must have Stockholm syndrome.
Live shows, Theatre productions. Music venue, Estedferdes for dancing, musicians choirs and singers, international acts and open aged personalities for all ages. Fortunate to have a venue like this one in the area.
Recently saw Cosentino at the Manning Entertainment Centre! So much fun! Great place. Amazing food and comfy seats! Can't wait to come back again!
Constintino was great, a real showman!
O and sorry for the, with what comment, when you said you stayed in your room fiddling. I will go again, come back soon. Bigger and better.
Fantastic venue for live theatre in the heart of Taree. We saw David Bowie Rebel Circus last night. Brilliant colourful show.
Saw Mamma mia! And it's a shame I can only give it 5 stars. I have seen the original show in London many years ago, and the film version. This show beat them hands down. But I guess the review is really about the MEC. Happy friendly atmosphere, and the auditorium was clean. Acoustics were good. Easy parking around the building.
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Manning Entertainment Centre. We were comfortable in our seat allocation and the accoustics in the auditorium was brilliant. The Celtic Illusions show was fantastic would recommend this show to everyone.
What a fabulous performance by the Soul Sisters last night, just the best show, they all have wonderful voices. Hope they come again.
Great place of entertainment. Great shows and friendly staff and volunteers! Very comfortable venue, providing for all types of entertainment.
Wheelchair friendly.
Fantastic place for concerts or musicals, etc. Nice seating with numbers and letters so you know exactly where to sit.
Big thumbs up to MEC employees for assisting my family with changing our seating due to my mother being unable to negotiate stairs at the MEC due to poor eyesight. Thank you for our front row tickets, we greatly appreciate the efgorts you went to, above and beyond.
