Manly Pavilion

Possibly one of the worst meals I have had in Sydney. Manager asked me "do you know how expensive crayfish is" when I complained about the lack of it in my "special". The only positive about this place is the view. Avoid

This place has a good view, atmosphere and service but the best for me was the food, especially the swordfish, cooked to perfection, with a tender and delicate texture, but what elevates this dish to another level is the shrimp sauce and olives, which makes it an authentic delicatessen. I highly recommend this place. I eagerly await my next visit.

We love Manly Pavilion. We live in Melbourne and make a point of dining at MP whenever we visit Sydney. Highly recommended - thanks team.

We recently celebrated my mum's 80th birthday here. It was simply faultless- the views, the gorgeous, sumptuous decor and interior styling, and the food. We had the private function room but had drinks on the deck beforehand. We were looked after by the gorgeous Angelina who was simply fabulous. Our guests from interstate all commented that it is by far the best place in Manly and we couldn't have gone to a more special place.

Manly Pavilion is all about the location, harbour views, and beautiful décor, but beauty is only skin deep.
A very disappointing meal and service.
We booked on a Thursday evening and were hoping for a fine dining experience.
This restaurant is run by very young inexperienced unprofessional staff.
The Boathouse is a well-established chain with reputable restaurants at Barrenjoey and Patonga.
We ordered and shared the calamari $26 and lamb shoulder $120 with a side leaf salad $14. The calamari and side salad were very ordinary. The lamb shoulder was unevenly heated with cold patches throughout. When we asked to have our lamb heated, we were told ‘that’ll just take 5 minutes’ – so microwaved job it was. This is a large meal and we fully expected to takeaway the rest of our lamb home, but when the waitress transferred the food in a plastic container all of the sauce and juices were missing. When asked about what had happened to all the sauce and juice from our lamb we were told ‘I chucked it out’.

They offered a complimentary desert, but we don’t eat sugar.
It’s a real shame as we were so excited to eat at such a beautiful restaurant and had high expectations. At over $200 for two people it was very disappointing and we won’t be visiting any of the Boathouse establishments ever again. This establishment is self-sabotaging by failing to train and supervise their staff and should consider investing in employing hospitality professionals.

I was at the Manly Pavilion boathouse yesterday. Darcy and Joe were amazing. The service was fantastic. There was such a lovely vibe amongst the staff working there.

Beautiful decorated restaurant plus stunning views. Friendly services and staff members.although the food is salty but I still give five stars as the taste is up per individual preference.

5 stars, 5 stars. Can't think Greg and crew enough. I dropped in for a casual drink / recon mission with the Mrs on 31 Dec daytime, as I do some work in very high end travel. Initial thought: "Wow, what a view. The interior design is perfect. " I spoke with Greg, the manager, and he was able to swing a Jan 1 (perfect) table for myself and clients. What can I say. Well. Perfect. Casual, cool, relaxed service. Timely with the food / drinks as we required for our day. The food (we did tapas style) was incredible - fresh, tasty. We loved this place. I'm certain my clients will never forget it.

When international guests come to Sydney, there are only a handful of places that offer a local yet classy vibe, perfect water views, and delicious food - with just two visits, I know that Manly Pavilion is firmly placed among the top of that list. Thanks team. See you soon. MJ

I came with a group of 12, half of which had some kind of dietary requirement. Nothing was too much bother, lots of communication, incredible food and space. Couldn’t be happier with how the Baby shower went and a huge part of that was down to these guys. Thank you so much!

Came last sunday for my 21st and booked way in advance.was seated at a table for 4 when there were 5 of us in the middle of someone else's party in a separate room.staff didn't seem to think this was an issue? After asking for another table we were moved to a different one inside - would have also liked an outdoor table due to the special occasion.drinks were really good, but at one point received 2 totally different sized cocktails despite ordering 2 of the same thing - what are you paying for? Flatbread was delicious.bay bug linguine was overcooked and not enjoyable.disappointed by service and some aspects of food as you pay a lot (over $400) for what you get, especially considering that this was for a special occasion.

The view is unbeatable and Duan and Only provided great entertainment. Other than those two things, you’ll pay top dollar for a bowl of chips that take an hour and a half to arrive and beers will be served with a mountain of froth (and still not be filled to the top) if they do arrive. Every round we ordered had bartenders taking over from one another and pouring from the wrong taps, and then kegs kept running out (three from three). I felt sorry for the staff as it seemed like an absolute shambles, which was bizarre on a sunny Sunday afternoon when you would think management were expecting a large crowd. Staff were friendly and apologetic but the lasting impression was that of an organisation that doesn’t know hospitality from a bar of soap. Sadly the venue isn’t cheap enough for that level of service.

Pretty spot. Great view, easy to get to. It's hard to find the entrance area if you come with the ferry. Amazing food but long wait to get service. You need time to dine in, plenty of time. Well worth it though.

Beautiful restaurant, Great food, and great staff.
We went there 9 people on Sunday, last minute walk in, and the two reception at the front were very accommodating. Very friendly waiter staff who also offered drawing paper for kids etc.
We loved the flatheads, swordfish, and calamari.
Highly recommend this hidden gem in Manly.

First, beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views. The decor is eye catching and gives a high end feel. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was a bit slow to come out but we didn’t mind as we just kept chatting anyway. The food is really good but expensive especially given the small portion sizes. I had an entree, main, and dessert. I wasn’t hungry but I wasn’t full either. I think I liked the desserts more. My hazelnut mousse was delicious. The coffee is good too. A lovely place to celebrate special occasions but probably won’t be a frequent lunch or dinner spot.

My sister held her wedding here and the venue and food was fantastic. Amazing views right on the water in Manly, as well as friendly staff.

Good location for a business event. Plenty of room downstairs. Friendly staff and good service.
