Mainfreight - Newcastle

A big ups for Kaiden of Mainfreight Newcastle NSW. There's an annoying bit of gravel / grass and a lip into our garage he said he may not have be able to get our huge heavy machinery delivery up into, and I get it, the lip, gravel and grass would have been a huge obstacle but this dude went above and beyond and got it done and I'm so full of thanks.

Little did Kaiden know, my wonderful mother-in-law was in Hospice care (bowel/liver cancer) and my husband got the call to go up to be by her side for her final breaths at the same time as this delivery so I was sleep deprived, home alone with our 8 month old and full of all the emotions. None of us had been to bed yet from the day prior. I cried with gratitude after this dude left.

Faith in humanity restored.

Took four days to get freight from Port Macquarie to Beresfield. Rather disappointed in performance causing disruption to my business.

Picked up a large consignment last Friday and the service from both the office & warehouse teams was terrific and with a smile. In particular Ben from the warehouse who went out of his way to assist.

Busy place. Lost my item but went out of their way to find it. Service is great nice friendly people

Disgraceful communication.

I took two days off work to be let down twice. I’m a single income with a mortgage in a pandemic so those days are vital to me. I was not informed the first time that I needed to ring ahead and schedule a delivery. On the second delivery date the cargo wasn’t even loaded on the truck.

Look elsewhere for your freight and delivery needs.

AVOID! Disgusting company with no accountability or transparency, unpackaged and damged a $1500 item then lied and told me they delivered it to the wrong adress, there branch manager Daniel Curtis is a compulsive liar!

Do not use this company, my rating is actually no stars. I bought a shed from a supplier who use this company and instead of delivering to Clarence town on the day THEY booked they sent it to their agent in Taree. Took another 3 days to get it to me, they never did anything they told they me would when I spoke to them. When shed was finally delivered the driver refused to follow the delivery instructions and just dropped it out of the truck onto the middle of my driveway. Absolutely disgusting experience.

Absolute worst service ever. Not just once, every single time. Unfortunately a supplier we purchase a lot from uses this transport company and every single time there are extensive delays with delivery, delivery to the wrong address, damaged items and the list goes on. When you call them to discuss, they are so rude and abrupt and customer service is the furthest thing from their vocabulary. DO NOT USE this company if you can avoid it. Sick of paying for delivery when you picked the item up in Sydney on Feb 12, had it in Beresfield on that weekend, listed it for delivery on Feb 17 and today being Feb 22, I was not guaranteed a delivery date until tomorrow so I had to drive and collect a 1500mm vanity and top myself. Disgusting!

If I could give these guys a 0 I would!
They took on order that they said they did not have a truck to deliver. They needed to out source a truck with a crane due to a 4.2m length of aluminium rail for hanging solar panels. It has been a nightmare getting it sorted! Finally it arrived at a major expense to the wholesaler we purchased through. When it arrived we were able to hand lift the 4.2m length of Ali and even strap it to our roof racks! I am flabbergasted that they hired a crane truck for this specific item! I would highly suggest not using them! It pushed back our customers install and has taken up a lot of hours back and forth!

Such a special team, in-fact a special company. Easy to deal with and deliver my freight on time, every time! 10/10 would recommend.

Poor service to the Central Coast. 50% of deliveries meant to be delivered to the Central Coast will sit in their depot for an extra 1 to 2 days "because our trucks to the Central Coast were too full". Can be costly to your business when customers are relying on goods arriving on time.

These guys are a joke have cost me lots of time and money on numerous occasions not getting deliveries on time and damaged goods. Will never use again!

Very dissapointed with this company's response after realizing they had lost my delivery. Did not phone back when they had suggested or show any urgency to the matter.

Never will i use this company again! Waiting almost a week after told date i would get my freight, never contacted by company to let me know it was to be late! Very Disappointing!

The team here in Newcastle are so lovely! I had two gents dropped off 4 boardroom tables to our charity and they went well and truly above and beyond to help me get the tables upstairs (even though I had only paid for front door delivery). Thank you to the those two employees - they were so fantastic!

‘DON’T use MAINFREIGHT they picked up a parcel that cost me over $150 to get transported and 18 DAYS later they have know idea where it is. I have phoned them for the last week trying to get some service out of them but they just don’t seem to care. I am really disappointed in their service and lack of care. I would not recommend them.

We often use Mainfreight for business freight requirements and they are always amazingly helpful.

The service was top notch. We needed our freight delivered quickly without much notice. All went smoothly. Nothing was too hard. Appreciate it.

The service from Cardiff Mainfreight was nothing but disappointing! Communication with a delivery was non-existent, no one wanted to help resolve the issues the drivers had to get the items delivered. Excuse after excuse was made for an entire week before we had hire a ute to go pick the goods up ourselves. Will never use this incompetent "courier" company again!
