Macquarie Nature Reserve reviews
21It's a bit close to the road, that's probably why there's been 20 koalas hit by cars. It is a beautiful peace of nature though, we had a nice walk
Lovely green space close to the coast, which is home to the koala park and the roto house. Aside from those attractions there are some open areas to have a picnic and a few short walks.
This place is crazy there are so many bats hanging from the trees. I expected it to just be like a normal park but it is so cool and really worry having a wonder around.
I'm totally impress about the fabulous work the staff are doing to rehabilitate the injured koalas. Definitely a place to visit
This volunteer group does an exceptional job. Be sure to appreciate by giving a generous donation
The board walk was beautiful although part if it was closed for maintenance which was a shame. Great cafe there too.
Fabulous venue and a great learning experience. Maintenance will always be an issue due to it's position but great care was taken to ensure public safety.
Scenic park & nature reserve
The Macquarie Nature Reserve.includes Roto House Historic Site
Great location to learn about these koalas and understand what the vet nurses have to do at this hospital.
Need to book during COVID-19 pandemic times in Port Macquarie.

Great place to visit for locals & holiday makers
Very nice Place. Good thing for Sick koalas. This was one of pur favorite things we have Dome on our east coast trip.
Roto house is next to koala hospital. Gold coin donation to visit. Very interesting historic family home. Guide was very nice and even gave me some copies of the recipes the lady of the house had in her book.
What an opportunity to see Kuala in close up, as well as appreciate the work, funds and love this place invests in saving these unique Australian symbols.
They are doing an excellent job caring for seriously ill koalas, burnt from bush fires. The only koala only hospital in Australia. Rely on donations mostly. Plenty of overseas visitors.worth visiting, free admission. PLEASE DONATE.
This place is koala hospital were all koala go because of the bush fires and other accidents that they have
A wonderful opportunity to get very close to koalas and it’s free! But make sure you spend some money at the gift shop. It’s a must see if you are in Port Macquarie.
Koala hospital: friendly people guiding the tours. Awesome work performed there. You get to know a lot about koalas. Nice little museum as well. And you actually see a lot of koalas up close for pictures (no touching of course) Must do for everyone visiting Port Macquarie.
