Lyttleton Stores reviews
16 Offers a range of delicious and fresh organic food options and coffee for takeaway.
You can also enjoy your food in their garden, where they've set up a mud kitchen for the little ones. Super family-friendly!
They share the space with a bookstore (RoseyRavelston) and an artisan chocolate store (Meltdown Artisan). Organic food, coffee, books, chocolate, gift store and groceries, all under one roof Could it get any better!
Wonderful concept. For those looking for the alternative, a great place to shop and learn how to manage the food you eat in a nutritional back to nature method.
Great recent update making a fantastic space - now with adjoining bookstore and outstanding local chocolatier - Melt Down Artisan!
It's such a fantastic store, I've been a few times and I'm always impressed with the variety and pleasant staff.
Great little co-op with local and organic veges, cheese and meat. Also packaging friendly self fill detergents, nuts and the dontgiveacrap range.
An overpriced hipster experience. How do you like your milk for $8.50? A dozen of eggs for $10? Three small grapefruit for $10? Pretending to be from good ole days when everybody ate off a shovel, minus the low cost. If you insist on supporting local farmers, do yourself a favour and go to the market, rotating around local villages every weekend. You’ll spend at least three times less.
The good thing about this place is that staff are very polite and helpful, but they would have to be for these prices.
The Lyttleton stores catered for our wedding in April. The entire menu, experience, flavours and presentation was outstanding! Our guests are still raving about the food! It was so mouth watering and delicious that we loved it so much and we want to eat it all again! The food was the freshest it could have possibly been, so beautiful and thoughtful the way that it was served and incredibly generous portions of each dish. It was an incredible meal that we would never have anywhere else.
Jeri from the Lyttleton stores was extremely warm, accomodating, laid back but efficient and really talented at making such a great seasonal (Autumn) menu that floored us! The whole team ensured the food was was served on time and perfectly, they read the room to choose where to serve the canapés and had a great sense of humour and interaction with our guests. Thanks Lyttleton stores for the best food we have ever had and were able to share on our special day. I couldn’t speak more highly about our experience!
I adore Lyttleton. This amazing cooperative kept my family in supplies of the most amazing local organic produce throughout COVID-19 when we struggled to get our hands on the basics. The staff are always so lovely, genuine and friendly. A must for all locals and tourists alike.
Friendliest, most helpful staff and volunteers, super delicious house-made stuff as well as local produce. 100% for the community and environment - not for making one guy at the top rich!
The kindest and friendliest of store helpers. I feel like they are my family. Fresh weekly fruit n veg plus all the staples. Easy to park and access. Fabulous fresh store baked breads, pizza, cookies. Fresh churned butter and home made humous and dips. Don’t waste time going anywhere else.

A great little store that is handy to pick up some organics or even some high quality chocolate and kombucha.
Beautiful produce and friendly staff. A lovely stop if you are heading up or down the mountain.
Great people, art and fresh produce. Keeping it local and creating community. Please support this worthy venture.
If you want to witness something special, drop in and see what this little (big) place is about. They offer workshops for the community on all things sustainable, and have created a space to empower people and community!
Not as much variety as I expected and despite the photos on the website looking gorgeous, the place itself wasn't super inviting.
Went looking for locally made food items but didn't buy anything, it was all a bit too grocery. Fair range of personal care products and some nice jewellery pieces if you want upmarket souvenirs or gifts.
Cosy venue to purchase produce items. You will need to remember your containers to fill. Parking out front. Community room next door for bookings. We were lucky to have homemade soup. Worth the trip.
