Lung Kee Dim Sum reviews
16Come here every now and then the food is always good. Best price to flavour ratio. Nice to have a place like this just around the corner.
Hidden gem. Loved to buy from this place during covid so my mother didn’t have to go out but was still able to eat delicious dishes at home. Need to get there early if you want a bigger variety as they sell out.
This place is literally a hidden gem in Carlingford where it stays in a small shop strip on residential area. Best place to come is weekend when they offer some hot food options to enjoy on the spot and we did this recently on the table outside the restaurant. We like their <i>cheung fan</i> rice noodle, <i>you tiau</i> fried donut, sesame prawn roll, BBQ pork pastry (<i>cha siu xiu</i>) and the best of all, the egg tarts (<i>tan taat</i>).
Prices are good value compared to <i>yum-cha</i> restaurants and I like the fact that we can buy dishes by piece, which is great if you just want to eat by yourself or with your partner. This way you can order more varieties of dishes, unlike in the restaurant where you usually get at least 3 or 4 pieces of same dish per standard order size.
You can also bring home frozen dumplings to enjoy <i>yum cha</i> at home and we really like their beef tripes in garlic sauce, sticky rice with chicken (<i>lo mai kai</i>), frozen scallop dumplings, prawn and pork <i>shu mai</i> and <i>won ton</i> and will try their other stuff. Too bad that they only provide mostly fried and baked <i>yum cha</i> dishes on weekend to enjoy on the spot. It will be great if they also provide steamed dishes options to enjoy.
They only accept cash as payment method which is their only weak spot, since it is hard to buy big knowing you only have limited cash on your wallet and no ATM machine nearby.
They have great varieties of dim sum to choose from. Also during the weekend they have hot dim sum during lunch hours. Sold out quick!
Dim sum is extremely low quality & not even close to Yum char standards let alone other frozen dim sum providers found in asian grocer stores. Ingredients ised are of low standard and poor serving sizes. Unfortunately I wont be coming back.
Cheap dim sim, but caused me heart burn afterwards, probably due to the oil used.
便宜,但用油應該不是很好,吃完胃酸。
Cash only. No card accepted. Screwing the taxpayer. Should be reported to the ATO. Review not based on the food, which I understand is apparently quite good.
Sydney looking for five-star Hong Kong dim sum taste
Many people line up every time they pass by, especially on holidays, fresh rice noodles and snacks are delicious!
However, due to COVIN-19, I can only buy frozen glutinous rice chicken, steamed dumplings, and shrimp dumplings for steaming at home.

Delicious freshly prepared Chinese dim sim on the weekend. Big variety of dim sum to choose from. Great to bring the dim sim experience home.
Takeaway only venue for Dim Sim (frozen and fresh).
Freshly cooked Dim Sim available weekends only.
I have only tried the freshly cooked food.
5 stars for Egg tart (Tan Tat), dainty size the pastry is very flaky and egg custard is very flavoursome and soft.
The owners must take a lot of pride in their products. The oil they use must be fresh and not typical of usual Dim Sim restaurants.
Cash only.
Good food, and affordable too. The chee cheong fun is a tad hard by the usual dim sum standards, but their baked goods are very good.
Great local dim sum, if you want to have your own yum cha at home and couldn’t be bothered waiting for a table. They have cooked food on the weekend and other days sell only frozen dim sum.
Great place for getting dim sum if you don't want to dine in a restaurant. Just be mindful of potential close down during Chinese New Year.
A wide range of frozen dim sum to be cooked at home. On weekend mornings they also make a lot of different hot dishes and other delicacies which are fantastic. Note that it is cash only and there are no ATMs around.
Beware the fried noodle with soya sauce, usually burnt and taste bitter. Other than that, all okay.
Usual yum cha suspects: good value, good to stock in your fridge for that midnight snack.on weekends only: delicious fried & baked varieties.the tan tart is especially delicious.
