I was hired, and after months of waiting with absolutely no communication they finally offered me a client. But after that they went back to no communication and left me to wait for another month. I tried emailing and I tried calling multiple times but they never actually got back to me. After another few weeks I had no choice but to leave. They seem nice but they are extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.even if you are desperate I highly recommend never applying here. You will be wasting a lot of your time.

Went to the Lizard centre during my Occupation Therapy studies and they said such misleading information about Occupational Therapists in front of a whole group of students and participants. The ABA advocate mentioned that OT’s have no clue how to address behaviour/ sensory issues and that we should just stick to fine motor and gross motor skills. CuClaiming ABA can fix all the behavioural issues in children, which is so wrong in so so many ways. We don’t fix kids full stop - kids are unique and Occupational Therapy is a universally recognised degree. We look at a strengths based approach and work on the child’s goals and don’t use positive versus nereinforcement. ABA only shows a 25% effectiveness which isn’t great

We look a things holistically and this is best practice.
We need to give our kids the best and not give them negative experiences which will leave them traumatised for life.

A few years ago now, but I was in the process of becoming employed here to become an ABA therapist. I was told I needed to complete their specific training course, from memory this was 2 days of work, which I did. Plus 10+ hours of online modules. I was never paid for this work I did for them. I constacted the Australian Fair Work Ombudsmen and they advised me that as the training was compulsory for the role I was entitled to be paid the right pay rate for all time worked. However the Jennifer from the Lizard center came back to me with the following:

"As part of our recruitment of our highly valued LBT’s we provide free access to our publicly available 2 day introduction to ABA Course– which normally costs $780. Our contracts are very clear that the contract of employment commences AFTER this training and is contingent on you passing this introduction. We are very clear at interview that you are not paid for attendance. "

Unfortunately, they did not tell me this in the interview and regrdless of that fact it is illegal for a contract to make employees worse off than their minimum legal entitlements (this from legal counsel). In the end I did not ever get paid for the 20+ hours I worked, even after sending a letter of demand. The only other option I had was to start legal proceedings which was out of my means.

Another company that are stating they value their employees 'highly' but are actually taking advantage of their workers. If you are considering working here, please consider this before you apply and sink money into getting police checks and time into training.

Had a chat with someone from Lizard Centre because I have special needs twins and I'm thinking of putting them in ABA. Lovely understanding and compassionate people working here who really understand autism

The intense ABA given by lizard, along with few other services, have done the miracle in a matter of 18 months, at least for my son, who was almost non verbal, now only a mild speech delay, diagnosed with GDD and ASD level 2.
We are so Thanksful to all the amazing therapist at Lizard and the positive life change for my little one, the waiting list for starting fast early intervention after diagnosis was manageable and they were always very keep to get my son in quicker and calling each time they have a vacancy ti check if was suitable to our schedule, very soon hard work starting to pay off
Highly recommend Lizard Centre, Jess is a Gem!

My daughter received support from the Lizard Centre for 3 years from early 2018 until late 2020 (until we moved away from Sydney). This support was life changing for us and I can't recommend their ABA program highly enough to other parents looking for an effective, evidence based early intervention strategy for their child.

I was happy with the professional and caring support that we received from everyone we worked with, some who have now left, but I would like to give a special thanks to Jess, Anna, Sharon and Rania.

A team of professionals who really know what they are doing! The programs are awesome and we’ve seen a massive change and improvement in our child. It has changed our home lifestyle for the better. I highly recommend this training.

Professional work. Program supervisors and senior behavioural therapists did an amazing job. They were positive, supportive and helpful. Unfortunately the receptionist was somewhat snobby and judgemental. I do not appreciate her attitude and behaviour each time.
