Living Desert Sculptures reviews
52Beautiful! We also camped and it was really nice. Too bad we couldnt see any stars but the storm was exciting!
I visited in the evening to watch the sunset. The site is an unpaved gravel road with a toll booth along the way.
The carvings are amazing and we saw lots of wildlife, mainly goats, kangaroos and lizards. There was also a family of emus on the way to Broken Hill.
Excellent display of sandstone sculptures set amongst natural rocky surrounds. Best to visit just before sunset to enjoy best light and not too hot. Lovely views of Broken Hill landscape.
Extraordinary piece of art in a spiritual place. Fascinating story of how it was created. A global community project.
Really worth while to drive out & wander through thes sculptures. We did mid afternoon but they reckon sunset is better time
Its beautiful! The view is great and the tourist attraction is particularly popular as the sun is setting around 7 to 8.
Use the car park the walk from the picnic area is 1.2 ks with 100m rise not good in 36 degrees
Beautiful spot to see on a holiday to broken hill or if you are just passing through. Great view and photo opportunity. Ticket purchase is required.
One of the best places to visit in Broken hill. It was raining when we visited there so we missed the best of sunset. Stunning sculptures done by various artists. One of the best places to have a 360 view around Broken Hill area. You need to pay $6 per adult before you enter the park.
The most amazing place to watch a desert sunset or just enjoy some world class Sculptures.
There is a $6 per person entry into the park.
Plenty of parking up top, but the road is narrow past the gate to the Sculpture Garden. You'd get a caravan up there, but take it easy after the 10km sign.
Its only 15mins from town and is an easy drive in any vehicle.
Plenty of picnic tables through the park and would be a great spot of a quite lunch or romantic picnic dinner as the sun sets.
It got busy just before sunset so I'd get there a little early to grab a good rock to take a seat and enjoy.
Also take some wine and beers
A spot with a beautiful view. I recommend staying at the living desert camspite also! Incredible place
Most of them are pretty boring. But it's 6$ so eh, the view is also great. The flower stuff closes earlier than the rest, would be nice if they wrote that at the entrance like with the park closing time.
This place is just amazing. We were lucky to be the only ones there, it was quiet and beautiful. The landscape and the Australian sky makes it a unique spot.
Careful with the ants!
Great to look at local artwork and with the breathtaking views around them. There is an entry fee to get in but worth a visit for sure.
Quite interesting, some sculptures are really nice (my personal opinion only), well explained why the artist decided what to create, great scenery
Fantastic experience. The whether the breeze and the fascinating sculptures. It’s a must visit in place.
Great to see these again, 3rd time here and still peaceful (Except for flies) staying at the camp ground just before the Sculptures.
Well worth the drive out to this amazing place.a bit cool when we were there (early July) take the time to take in the scenery as well the amazing sculptures.
I can't believe they charge six dollars to see this. Nice view of the city and surrounds. If you are in the park for a walk you may as well look at the sculptures by I don't recommend the trip for them alone.
