Live taxi

I got charged $78 for a ride from Sydney International Airport to Circular Quay by a seemingly gentle old Italian driver. The meter said $65 but he said there was a toll on the way, therefore the amount. I was in a hurry so paid the charge, but thinking back, I don’t think there was a toll, and even if there was, it shouldn’t be $10. Such a sly thieves!

Minus 10 stars for me but as the system doesn’t have that option, I’m giving them one star

Totally ripped off! Monday 4pm from Sydney international airport to Crows Nest cost me $103.67。they'll automatically charge the tips without asking or showing on the ETF. It Only shows up on the receipt!

As with all the other reviews, I ended up with a $96 fare. This is $40 more than I usually pay outside of peak hour, and about $30 more than at busier times. While the driver himself was polite, it was not a limousine, nor was he in a suit, so I am not sure why the meter rang up a premium service price. Next time I will go Uber or catch a train.

Got charged $88 for a 15min trip and called to complain. Got told this was not a taxi company and they couldn’t help in any way. Operator was extremely rude and hung up on me

Absolutely thieves and won’t respond to help sort it out. Fee was $21.00 and while getting out and took card and taped it then when I checked was charged $55. Bloody thief this is why I don’t use Sydney cabs but these guys are the worst and don’t car

Stay away use Uber

This seems a very murky outfit. I got charged by " Live Taxi Executive" for a trip I dont think I took with anyone by that name. There are a fewnew strange taxis on the road. I woud avoid them. I will be more careful in future. Avoid Live Taxi, they apparently only do the eftpos, not the driving. Bah!

Should be zero stars! Was totally ripped off by a cab driver. Any attempt to dispute the fare had Live Taxi insisting they were just the eftpos provider and the issue was with GM Cabs - this is despite the fact the taxi had no GM cabs branding but was covered in Live Taxi branding. I raised the issue with GM Cabs who had no record of the driver and when GM Cabs contacted Live Taxi privately about the manner they refused to co-operate.

I reported this to the Taxi Council who suggested I contact my credit card company and the police and report it as theft as there is nothing they can do due to some legal technicality with Live Taxi.

A total scam operation based around a legal loop hole that protects them from being accountable. Don't use taxis in Sydney - always use a ride share app where this appropriate recourse if you have an issue.

On the Meter I saw $51.00 at the end of the journey and when I looked at my bank statement it said I paid $96.00. Usually pay about $60.00. Will certainly be checking who the EFTPOS provider is before I get in the cab.

WARNING! I've also been ripped off by this taxi company, paid nearly $90 from Sydney airport to Barangaroo! Twice the normal fare, from my googling.

Charged me $80 for a trip from city to mascot, should only cost $25 max. Driver purposely went around and around the city and when i asked him he just said that is the way. NEVER USE THEM, customer service phone number never have anyone pick up. 0 stars if possible. Im going to report them to fair trading now.

This company will rip you off, charge you 10x the amount then tell you to report to their eftpos provider with a webs that doesn’t exist.

Company run by con artists that rip people off when transiting between sydney airport t3 to t1.
Driver hid his meter during the ride, acted friendly but would ask you to hand your card to him to tap instead of letting you see the eftpos machine (during covid pandemic).

Disappointed in myself for not reacting to the red flags in time.

They deserve zero star! I use the taxi from Sydney domestic terminal to international terminal, only 5 mins drive, the driver charge me $50 and don’t use taxi meter. My suggestion is don’t ever use their service! Avoid!

I got completely ripped off. I paid 230 AUD from the airport to Bella Vista. Asked in the hotel whether the amount I paid was reasonable and I was told I paid the double of the normal price! Not the best impression of Australia as a tourist. Live Taxi you bunch of thieves.

Be aware of the taxi driver who work in Sydney airport! Strongly recommend people rather than take uber or ola, I'll never take taxi from airport again.

Be careful with this taxi company, the driver is a cheat. He manipulated the meter and added so called toll fee manually as we were arriving at the hotel. A ride from airport to Novotel Darling harbour was charged at AUD 115. While GM CABS charged only AUS 62/95!

They rip you off and the driver was checking his phone while driving.
Definitely not recommended.

The driver was very violent. He actually got out of the cab and started throwing stuff at us, only because we said uber is cheaper.
