Lismore Memorial Baths reviews
9 As on the Lismore Memorial Baths foundation stone
LET NOT THEIR SACRIFICE BE IN VAIN
Lismore Memorial Baths were erected from 1927 - in honour of those who fell in the First World War
I spotted the monuments in the park, outside Lismore Memorial Baths … whilst coming into Lismore by bus.so I decided to investigate more
I couldn’t find the name of this well maintained park / gardens itself.apart from the signage - LISMORE MEMORIAL BATHS - over the gate into the park
* Their’s the two Legacy Stones with GARDEN OF REMEMBRANCE
* Across the side road, is another memorial park - Commemorative Park
* Lismore Memorial Gardens.is a graveyard, found at another part of Lismore
Apart from the striking swimming pool entrance building (which is the Lismore Memorial Baths entrance). There’s a large RISING SUN Badge above the front entrance
Also some of the other monuments / memorials within the park is -
• Boer War Monument
• WW1 Monument
• Vietnam Monument
• Navy Monument
• Airforce Monument
• Legacy Stones
• A Cannon
Me and my daughter visit regularly and always enjoy it.
The pool is now solar heated which makes it swimmable all year round. The staff are helpful and friendly.
Love this place. The pools are always sparklingly clean and a lot of the time you can have the place to yourself for an hour or so. The entry price is high but that is running cost. More local peeps should use this place. Lovely.
This is a great place to go swimming in Lismore, also probably one of the only regulated places. These baths are great, I've never had a drama. What are you going to do? Swim in the river?
The pool is great but i was kicked out and banned i didnt know i wasnt alowed to set up my go pro in the shower room
Good for everything from learn to swim to training for competition. Out the front is the roll of honour for all those who lost their lives in the conflicts from the Boar War, WW 1 & 2.
If the council dropped the prices, introduce day passes and extended the season it would be a fabulous place
I like it here. It's a good place for schools to have their carnivals and the pools are cleaned well.
