Lisgar Gardens reviews
58A beautiful oasis tucked in the heart of Hornsby. Certainly come here when it's in bloom.
Suddenly there is a garden in a place like this? I'm where I want to be
Rather than a very pretty and well-maintained garden, it feels like little touches were made while keeping the natural appearance as much as possible.
The person who created the garden liked camellias, so there are a lot of camellias.
As you walk, the road is divided into several places like a maze and connected to a forest next to it, so if you take a wrong turn, you will end up walking in the forest without realizing it.
And that forest path is a path that will lead to a very unexpectedly long journey if you do not return after going for a while.
It was hard.
Lovely but not pram friendly. The inclinator is out of order so you will have to use stairs, of which there are enough that lifting prams is not practical.
Gorgeous Peter Rabbit & Secret Garden atmosphere. Very relaxing for a stroll or somewhere to take the kids to run a bit while you can relax and enjoy a cuppa with a friend.
Small little garden. Needed some directions displayed about which way we can go? Found block ways everywhere.
Lovely place to visit, walk around or just sit.
Note: the inclinator is not readily accessible to able-bodied persons.
You need to contact a Gardens person in order to make use of it and even then you have to have a physical need to use it.
This restriction doesn't really encourage older people to visit.they can make it down by foot but might struggle on the return ascent.
Neat tidy gardens.
Pretty flower beds.
Really pleasant garden to walk in, it's quite tiered so the whole garden not all in view, and you can then explore.
A small, quite and cute garden nestled in the Hornsby shire. It gives a vibe of "enchanted in woods" feeling. Perhaps some themed decoration of elves and fairies will make this very attractive to the younger generation.
Regardless of this the team has put in a lot of efforts in maintaining this garden, kudos to them.
There are some interesting plats and fauna to explore as we descend along the stairs. The school of fish in the pond is quite a surprise attraction.
If you stay in Hornsby and haven't been to this place, then I strongly recommend you to pay a visit and say thank you to the care takers.
How lucky we are to live in this area. We all enjoy this beautiful garden and bush walking here.
Very nice garden. It was much bigger than expected. Nice flower with good walking tracks.
Highly recommended a visit.
Lisgar gardens is a small and tranquil public garden located next to the Florence Cotton Loop Walk. It is adjacent to the Berowra Valley National Park and boasts beautiful scenery and is yet located near a busy urban centre.
A lot bigger than expected - with a loop trail. Nice walk, the garden is looking good from all the rain this year
Awesome garden. Nice place. Parking is very limited near the garden. May be more on the street before the garden.
Beautiful hidden garden! Lovely to walk around. Very quiet and peaceful. It also joins onto other local walking tracks!
This is a relaxing hidden gem, tucked inside Hornsby suburbia. It's just a few minutes drive from the main street but feels like a trip to another world, with water features, a wide array of botanical species, mossy rock formations, natural light, lizards and koi. It's an easy walk, has wheelchair access via an inclinator, and is suitable for exploring with the kids. The temperature drop makes it a great escape from the heat of summer days.
Awesome little retreat for the family, and if you're keen for a walk, plenty of tracks to explore.
Beautiful gardens with lovely shaded spots and park benches and seating. Great to picnic and also enjoy what nature has to offer
Beautiful gardens and really enjoyed the Florence Cotton Loop walk. Took us a little under an hour to do the loop walk in a leisurely fashion and stroll through the gardens. Not a great walk for people who can't do hills.
Excellent garden for relaxing. Wildlife, flowers and bushwalking are available in this cute area.
