Lion King Flooring

Lion King flooring renovated our slate floor with floating floorboards recently. We were impressed with the 2 young workers that completed it in 2 days. They were extremely hard working. Did a fabulous job and the price was very competitive. I highly recommend Lion King Flooring from my.own personal experience. Kerry Dawson

Unfortunately simply horrible experience 2 years after initial installation. Would never recommend or use again particularly if you are doing an apartment and don’t speak mandarin. Had some issues on the day with uneven floors (had an extra $1500 added to bill for levelling concrete. Which was poured and floors were installed on a few hours later). No way to communicate as installers don’t speak English and communication difficult with person on the phone. Eventually the floors are laid. Within 6 months there are air pockets where the floor isn’t level and part of the boards break off. They come back and just re-lay new board in the affected areas and leave an insane mess. About 9 months later same issue they come again and this time they agree the floor was not level and so add concrete and relay 1/3 of the floor in the most affected areas, again horrible mess after they leave (actually there is still concrete on my balcony from the initial installation that they didn’t clean off). A year on and the older areas that were not relayed are buckling as the newer areas are pushing on them and there are still massive air pockets everywhere and the boards have started to crack and break off the corners again. Both times they came back it was so hard to get onto them with multiple phone calls and emails and eventually went in person. Will just have to get someone else to rip it up and restart as they have had 3 goes and just a band aid every time. Not worth it at all so dissatisfied.

Update: contacted Lion king by email as they requested with no reply (it’s been a week since email sent). The amount of flooring replaced each time was not minor. The whole issue stems from not levelling the floor properly or allowing it to cure. Rushing the job gets you this terrible result.

I went there to get a quote for a job and Kushan was very helpful and understanding person and answered all my questions and provided me with some samples to show to the customer.

I wrote this because most of the building material suppliers are very rude and they are expecting you to know everything about renovations.

I’m very happy with the work done by Lion King Team (in terms of both customer services & workmanship) and they are good with the timeline as well. Price is reasonable. Just one thing, the boys left the site unclean but that was ok. Hopefully, they will be more mindfulness next time. Other than that, I would recommend Lion King Flooring

The SPC flooring has high quality in terms of the size, the colour an the material, but with a more reasonable price comparing to similar of Harvey Norman and other stores. Great costumer service for delivery and also providing solutions for DIY installation.

The team from Lion King is very experienced, professional and easy to work with. They did a splendid job and we would highly recommend their service to anyone looking to do their flooring.

I would not recommend using Lion King Flooring. They installed a hard wood floor (beautiful product) in our new house 5 years ago and we have had nothing but trouble with the boards cupping and eventually buckling because of expansion due to sub-floor dampness over time. A professional assessment of the job was that there was no proper assessment of the sub-floor dampness and appropriate preparation, and not enough expansion joints built into the floor. The floor is now a complete write-off and I need to replace it with a new floor.

Really great experience all round. Initial walk-in to the shop looking at the product through to quote and install. The installation was quick one bedroom unit in one day. The guys who did the install were fast, professional and experienced. Highly recommend this place and we are using them again for another job for our house.

The tradesmen that installed our flooring were very professional and polite. Nothing we asked was too much. Wong and his team’s attention to detail was excellent. One of the best tradesmen we’ve had working in our home. We love our new flooring.
