Best BJJ Gym I’ve ever trained in my whole life…not saying the others were bad, but, Legacy is a high level gym, with high skilled teachers, providing a fantastic environment to every single person. The people training there are friendly, and always kin to help you. Everyone should go for a free class and see it by themselves!

Legacy provides outstanding BJJ training and coaching in a clean, safe, and friendly environment. A wide variety of class times make it convenient to attend classes which range in skill level from beginner to advanced. The teaching staff are professional and approachable. I would strongly recommend training at Legacy.

Our son was initially very hard to engage and has some additional needs. Both coaches Werique and Hass helped him alot and he now is fully engaged in the whole class. They are gentle and kind but also great with discipline and structure for the appropriate age. Thanks legacy for a great space and experience.

I trained at a few other gyms before coming to Legacy and have gained so much since joining Legacy. At first I was impressed with the high level of jiu jitsu skill among the practitioners and how quickly I was welcomed into the Legacy family. Over time, I've evolved as a practitioner and have become a father, so I can see how well suited it is for families and personal growth.

If you're considering trying jiu jitsu for the first time or are looking for a gym, I would recommend doing a week of trials and getting to know the team. Trying anything for the first time is daunting, but Legacy has classes tailored for beginners and the instructors (and higher belts) are good at building the skill and confidence of practitioners.

I would also recommend the kids classes. They are fun for kids, but also challenging and character building. The instructors have good rapport with students and are well respected by the students and their families.

I was looking for a gym that had a young team with a very high level skill set, that regularly competed in tournaments and had a great gym culture! I reached out to a well known international black belt who highly recommended Legacy HQ. I’ve been at Legacy HQ now for just under a year and I’m really grateful that I found this team! Oss!

Legacy is great! They have a generous timetable so everyone can find classes they can attend with skilled instructors that make sure you are exposed to many different styles / games. Their no gi program is fire with a heavy focus on concepts. I always have great training here with tough rounds and an awesome culture. They also have a big women’s team with regular open mats where we can catch up and roll with people from other branches

HQ is close to redfern and central station with easy public transport access. Lots of 2h parking a few streets down. Clean change rooms and mats!

Knowledgeable and friendly professors. Excellent training partners. From high level practicing belts to beginners. A great gym.

The children's classes are led by the most patient kind and skilled professors.
Professor Werique at Chippendale is a superstar and the kids absolutely love him.
The 9.30am start time for the Saturday morning children's lesson is perfect for busy families to start their weekend. ️

Legacy BJJ is amazing, coming from America, they let me come in and be apart of their dojo. Instruction was great and their team is top notch!

Had the pleasure of training here during a 2 weeks work trip. Everyone here is warm and welcoming, and the coaches are really good, helpful and try to involve even drop-ins like me in the lesson, which was really great.

The people who train here are really strong and definitely can tell that they have solid fundamentals and also great instincts. It was such a great time and if I was living in Sydney long term, this will be the place I'll definitely want to train at everyday!

The coaches here are so good and consistent. We’ve had the same two excellent coaches for 2 years. My son is really learning and growing more confident.

I was visiting Sydney and tried a few places. This was my favourite. Good atmosphere, awesome facilities, good instruction and good level of rolls. I recommend this place and I’ll be back for sure
