Best bloody cafe in Newcastle! The chef is a legendary bloke, and the staff are just amazing at what they do, especially the tall boy. I highly recommend the Gardenia Cafe! Will return

Suggest you go to beveridges right next door for landscape supplies. They won't rip you off and they're much more helpful. Won't come here again.

A beautiful variety of plants & gifts. Staff while somewhat friendly, didn't really seem that interested in interacting with customers.

Today, I visited the cafe with a friend and our babies. We had two prams and needed to move a table to accommodate for space.
We were then told this could not be done by a senior staff member due to being in the line of trolley traffic which we then realised and acknowledged however this staff member did not ask another customer to possibly move to a corner table. This other customer reserved a table by placing their walking stick onto the table and was absent!
I then when speaking to the senior staff member said, "well must we leave then if there is no accommodating space for us" and then he moved a table inside to make a seating area for us which was really the only positive.
I then ordered an iced chocolate in which the cream used tasted like pure thickened cream, not whipped, very unpleasant. The staff member serving us provided a spoon from their front pocket of their apron and a high chair with a top that was dirty from previous use. I had to use a disinfectant wipe to clean it.
Overall, a very poor experience for busy mother's wanting some time out. I unfortunately cannot recommend this cafe to others nor can I visit again. Procedures and customer service require significant improvement and continuous monitoring.

Landscape supplies guy was very helpful to me as a novice customer. Asked questions about what I was using the mulch due suggested alternatives and was helpful in explaining pricing. Will go again and Recommend.

Ample parking with a beautiful gift shop full of interesting ideas for presents or gifts. Great little coffee shop. And a huge variety of plants.

My wife and I visited the coffee shop at Lee Rowan's this morning to enjoy a quiet drink together with brunch. My coffee was milky and unable to enjoy the flavours usually attributed with coffee, also the wife had an iced chocolate once again was lacking in flavour more like a glass of milk with a small scoop of ice cream and dollop of chocolate syrup. The food was fantastic which is why we gave 3 stars also their customer service was great. The person who served us did mentioned they were understaffed and training new staff.
We are not very likely to return as this is our second visit within two weeks with our first visit being unsatisfactory also. I'm sure at some stage they will get onto their problems only hope they can retain customers, I really do hate to see a business fail.

Staff are really helpful about landscaping materials - they were really knowledgeable. They've previously been very helpful with plant knowledge.

Very friendly and informative staff. And the cafe food was soo scrumptious. Definitely recommended

On a good day it's wonderful.
However, The grumpy owner at the ordering point/cash register diminished the possibility of a nicer experience.
Food is okay.
Needs some quality improvement.

My husband and I visited the coffee shop at Lee Rowan's this afternoon to enjoy a quiet coffee together. The coffee was great which is more than we can say for the customer service. The person who served us was extremely unfriendly! We were not greeted, were spoken to abruptly and made to feel that we were an inconvenience by being there. Very off putting and not very likely to return after this.

I bought 3 bags of general purpose cement.moisture was in the bag, the cement powder was all lumpy, could not use this for my screed.

Don't buy gp cement from these guys.

Love this place even just for the cafe which is the best place to eat in Warners Bay. The garden world is a bonus to an amazing cafe! Caters for GF too!

If you think the staff are rude you should meet the founder the owner. He hates everyone and believes Australia owns him for sending him to Vietnam. Funny how everyone came back poor except Lee!

Purchased turf. Long delay, understandable with bad weather but offered zero flexibility and sub-par customer service skills. They took an "our way or the highway" approach when trying to come up with collection plan. Long story short you have to take it in the next couple of days or wait another 5 weeks kind of situation. When my partner arrived (as like most of us we have jobs too) for collection she got reluctant assistance with the load and snide comments about how her hubby should've been there to help and proceeded to load turf herself while managing a 7 month old. You can definitely find better service in the Hunter region if you look a bit farther

I would not recommend shopping here after my poor experience. I asked the attendant how much soil I needed for pots and after calculating it he recommended 2 green bags. Turned out I only needed 3/4 of a bag. When I asked them to take back the other bag for a refund they charged me an additional $60 to pick it up despite it being their mistake.

Lawn topdressing full of rocks. I purchased several loads of lawn topdressing and put it onto my $7k new lawn. It later rained exposing a large amount of gravel & rocks up to 30x20mm. When I complained they said "yes we know about it. There is nothing that we can do about it. If you don't want rocks then you need to seive it. That's what landscapers do. " That person was not forthcoming with a refund and said that she would have to get back to me. I later contacted the owner/manager and he said that there had been a problem with their sand seive, and gave me a refund. Small compensation for damage done to my lawns, but can't expect more. Some parts of my lawn have died, and I am still picking up rocks.
