Lee Massage & Acupuncture Macarthur Square Level 3 reviews
5Very nice and professional masseur. I feel much better after doing it and I will recommend it to my friends.
I came here for the first time a couple of weeks ago after doing a multi day trek. I was quite sore and just needed some relief. When you first enter, you fill out a form and select the length of time you want for your massage and the parts of the body you want to be worked on. I picked a 45 min massage and wanted my shoulders/upper back and legs.
When I entered the room, the lady asked what I wanted (did not read the form I had just filled out). When I told her the areas, she got upset with me and raised her voice, saying that 45 minutes isn't enough for all that. I said ok then no worries, and told her I had just come back from a multi day trek so just do the legs, and to please avoid my left ankle as I had an ankle injury. She didn't listen to me and did my shoulders, back and only my right leg, spending 10 mins on one side of my back, 10 mins on the other, 10 mins on my right leg then barely touched my left leg then said I was done.
During the massage she also walked out of the room for 2 minutes without saying anything to me. I thought she had finished so I was about to get up, but then she came back with hot towels.
Afterwards, I told the receptionist my feedback and said that the massage therapist needs to listen to the client. If she had listened, she could have spent more time actually working on my legs which is where I needed it most. The receptionist said the therapist didn't understand much english (an excuse, she knew enough to understand my request and subsequently tell me off for it), and that they rarely get people requesting leg massages so that's why she wasn't good at it. Another terrible excuse for the lacking service, but whatever.
It was honestly the worst massage I've ever had in my life, I felt no different afterwards. Spend your money elsewhere.
EDIT: I originally came here because it had 5 stars. I should have checked the reviews thoroughly. If you look at the 5 star reviews, they appear to be from either friends, business partners or fake accounts that have given 5 stars to other Lee Massage places around Sydney.
A great place to relax, the massage was amazing, as well as the cupping and needling. The service was excellent.
Great massage shop! Amazing service and enthusiastic staff! Very relaxing!
