Le Coq Healthy Rotisserie reviews
50Ordered a Christmas pork and dessert November they confirmed Dec. When arrived Christmas Day to pick up they had nothing for me. And you can not contact anyone. And no one gets back to you either when you leave a message
The food is ok but the serving are tiny. We (2 couples) ordered 3 mains which according to the menu was enough for 6 people plus sides of potatoes and greens and we were all still hungry after cleaning the plates. We had 1 "cheap" bottle of wine and 2 zero beers and paid $283. No wonder we had no problem getting an outside table on a Friday night. It's over priced.
Beautiful elegant sunny Sydney winter lunchtime dining. Perfect portion size for lunch leaving a little room for petit fours to follow. Excellent service. Will come again. Thank you.
I love coming to this friendly restaurant for the tasty food, the excellent service and the cheerful French lesson. Merci, Fanny. A la prochaine.
We have been to this restaurant many times and have always been impressed by the food. This visit was no different, they have been able to consistantly serve up respectable good value food and the wait staff although appears to have changed many times are always well trained.
They change the menu particuly the mains every month and its always good.
A great wine list and good food make this restaurant one that we will keep coming back to.
We have enjoyed a few good meals at leCoq but last night was a different and bad story. The shoulder or lamb and roast potato veg with greens could only have been reheated as was served in under 10mins on a Sunday evening. Not fresh at all. Leftovers. It was cold and dry and supremely disappointing, worse than a bad club meal. When we asked to speak with the chef no one was forthcoming, we then offered to pay for our pre dinner drink (which we didn’t have a chance to finish before our main was served in a rush). We ended up walking out … such a shame after previous great food and service and memories.
Went for lunch today for the first time, we ordered the 120 day sommerland chicken, porchette and sides. Sadly for the porchetta they served us thin little strips of the roast pork with soggy skin - it appeared to be off cuts. Nothing like what a porchetta should be i.e. Crispy skin outside with pork belly rolled into a log and cut to be nice whole medallions. The chicken and sides were okay.
There are alot better places in Roselle and Balmain to eat at for the price you pay (around $125 for two pple). We won't be back.
Great place to have a dinner for two or in small groups. Food is delicious and the service is very good.
We love this restaurant for its wonderful french cuisine and exceptional service.
I have now booked them for catering my upcoming birthday
Really superb lunch at Le Coq in Balmain. The food was outstanding - and interestingly you can see the “healthy” side of their cooking, despite it still feeling very French. The duck was a standout dish. The service was also excellent. Admittedly, we were a bit of a pain to the staff, wheeling two baby prams into the restaurant, but the staff were incredibly hospitable helping to re-arrange chairs and tables to accomodate us. You can’t imagine what small kind acts like this can mean to exhausted parents who just want to enjoy lunch outside. I highly recommend Le Coq, and look forward to returning soon.
A frequent dining experience for our family of 4 and on occasions with friends both local and visits from interstate.
Food is consistently of a high standard, the service warm and inviting, Bravo Le Coq - merci
Our family had a wonderful Easter Sunday lunch. Everything was superb. The food was delicious, the wines were great and service impeccable. We did Christmas lunch there as well and it was terrific.
We had the best time my friend Mabel not only we getting more then enough food, my puppy Lyca also got kidney treats! Enjoying the ambiance so much and lovely service. One of my favourite restaurant for sure in Sydney!
Food was great however the service was lacking. The waitstaff were unable to complete an order and constantly required assistance.
Great food and wonderful service. Our French speaking guests really enjoyed being able to talk the staff who are all delightful.
Braving the wilds of Rozelle for Le Coq might sound like the start of a great anecdote, and guess what? It is. The atmosphere, welcoming staff, French country cooking and superb wine list are all to die for. No need to treck to rural France searching for that Michelin gem outside Arles; Le Coq is delivering an equal experience right here. We’ve been meaning to try this restaurant for ages and now it’s going to be a regular fave.
French food in Rozelle. Staff where exceptionally good for our large group. Food was good, restaurant is clean and staff is attentive. Ticks all the boxes.
Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and professional.
We tried the crispy duck and pork belly along with some sides and drinks. They have some fine wines and good homemade sodas. Will definitely be coming back to try the chicken and desserts.
Had a gathering of 10 friends prior to Christmas. Food and service were great and I’m looking forward to the Christmas Turkey I’ve ordered for home!
We always have a wonderful experience when we dine here. Mallory and her team look after us so well and the food is delicious. Cannot recommend more highly
