Laycock Street Theatre reviews
38Took 2 of my granddaughters to see The Gruffalo’s Child, they loved it. I’ve always enjoyed going to Laycock, we were late booking but didn’t matter because all the seats have a good view of the stage
Great performance of The Gruffalo's Child, my kids and I loved it. Theatre is lovely, run well and it was lots of fun.
The reason this gets 3 stars is only because they have lots of good shows on here. If you are reading this in hope of booking a concert here or something, I would recommend the CCGS theatre if you are hoping for more of an audience and better backstage facilities. Here there are 392 seats but at Central Coast Grammar there are 750. It is still a great community theatre!
Went to see Kate Cerebano which was the first concert since covid hit this year. The theatre abided to all the covid restrictions and they made many announcements to continue with all our safety. Thouroughly enjoyed the night
We saw Mumma Mia here last night and it was brilliant! The cast, choreography and sets were amazing! It's a great venue!
Love going in to purchase tickets because the volunteers do such a wonderful job and are ever so helpful
Good little theatre although it seems everything on here is quite pricey for size of the venue etc but enjoyable.
Awesome theatre, I love the plays they have put on here and I’ve also loved performing for dancing here!
Well done for a kids production. My daughter loved it and the quality of the theatre was great.
The show and staff were great, however they should increase the number of ladies toilets.
You're lucky to get a chance to go in the intermission, it's really not good at all.
Great performances. The theatre is not big, but cozy. Always attending performances for kids, and enjoying every single one of them.
Great stage shows for a good price. Much cheaper than shows in Sydney and the shows are of similar standard.
I enjoyed my trip to the Laycock Street Theatre this evening to see Strictly Ballroom. From looking around the room I could see there were no “bad” seats. It’s great to be able to see the stage unobstructed from anywhere in the room. Unfortunately I would the volunteer staff working the refreshments kiosk to be a bit rude. I understand they’re volunteers, but if you’re not happy to be there, why do it?
The theatre itself is great, with tiered seating allowing most to have a good view. The biggest problem is the parking, there needs to be an upgrade in the parking facilities. I felt intimidated by the public announcement threatening patrons if they parked in any incorrect places.
Had a great night with my granddaughter watching Strictly Ballroom. What a great production. Very professional cast
The Laycock Theatre was very welcoming a lovely atmosphere, with most services to make it a pleasant experience and helpful staff
The shows are always entertaining. Its a shame they are so strict on not allowing people to get up and dance
Great venue, good people and an incredible assortment of fantastic performances by very talented individuals.
