Lane Cove Country Club reviews
27Painfully slow. Tee off is always 15 mins behind schedule. 5-7 min gaps are not enough. Needs better management to deliver value
Great course but poorly managed. Tee times and group size didn’t seem to matter to the kid working the pro shop. Only played the 2nd - 4th holes before walking off and even that took over an hour. Not to mention the group of about 10 pre teens all teeing off the 5th at the same time spraying balls everywhere. Waste of money & time.
Great evening hosted at the club recently, featuring Gregg Arthur, singing in an evening with Tony Bennett! Had a set indian dinner from the Cinnamon Klub
Fantastic golf course with friendly staff. The online booking system is super easy and efficient and the prices are also reasonable. Highly recommended!
Kasey Dive Golf
My 5 year old has been taking weekly lessons with Kasey for a year now, and has been loving it. Her golfing has been improving exponentially. I highly recommend Kasey. She is great with kids.
An out of the way spot with a decent bar, cold beer and other beverages. It has a beautiful green view of the golf course and bushland. Just off River Rd near Gore Crk Bushland. Open Wed to Sunday. Also available for functions. EFTPOS only no cash sales.
The club is a great hidden place for a cold drink while the golf course (9 holes,) was pretty average.
It's a gem; you wouldn't know you in Sydney, looking over the golf course with only bush to be seen. Heaps of opportunity needs a wake-up call from members and the management they vote in.
DO NOT visit the golf club right before the Women's Competition. I went on the weekend and ended up being stuck in front of the competitors. One of the competitors were particularly rude, interrupted our game and did not maintain 1.5m away from us, tried to teach us how to play (we did not ask). She told me to hurry up, even though there was a massive delay that morning and people in front of us were slow. Not an issue as we were looking to just do a bit of exercise and relax but she made the morning very unpleasant.
Beautiful part of the world, great course of course. Great staff and the groundskeeper is a very funny dude, great sense of humour. Very fortunate to have this as a local.
I'll start off by saying this is quite a tiny course and a good number of the holes are shared fairways though with different greens. E.g, 1/10 share the same fairway. Having said that, for what it is, it definitely makes the most of the space. Course condition was very good and well kept. Fairways lush and greens well groomed. It is also quite strategic with rather narrow fairways with lots of dog legs. So unless you can shape your drives, it will remain mostly in your bag here. It is also relatively hilly which is kinda nice. For those looking for length and variety this is probably not the course for you. I only played 9 but couldn't pull the driver out until the 9th, but if you don't mind that it's quite a beautiful little course.
Reasonable but beware it is more technical than you would expect. Narrow fairways and lots of loss ball wild life. General up keep is ok but if they ever want more members than they need to step up the up keep 2 or 3 levels above current.
9 hole course with two extra greens. Tight layout with soft greens. Good clubhouse with bar service and snack/coffee facility on selected days.
Played here yesterday with a group of eight. We had four carts and played four ball Ambrose. It was a special family event and all the staff made it fantastic. We were a little slow but all the other players were patient and friendly. Good value and a great time. The course is in top condition and enjoyable
Very enjoyable. Like going back in time. An excellent outlook from the deck of the club house. Reminiscent of a rural location with a bush outlook but in the middle of the CBD. A challenging tight course to prove to yourself how good you really are with accurate play demanded.
I great little course. Always feel welcome and the course is in great condition. Even though its short it is a tough
Fun 9 hole course. Great for a hit with some friends. We really enjoyed our round and will be back
Cracking spot. Friendly and low keyish. Just make sure you check if there are any competitions on before booking (which we did not)
Great friendly staff and good value.
Trolley rental at AUD 10 is twice the price of every other golf course I've played at in Australia. Other public courses are cheaper and better.
I went for the band which was fantastic. I enjoyed the club too nice friendly staff and a great meal.
I believe they are going to close this venue, shame on them!
A full room of people enjoying good food and music; can't have that can we.
