Lake Cathie Bowling Club

Low key and relaxing, great bistro food, happy & fun staff and beautiful views across the lake.

I went here for NYE and saw a lady leave with an open drink which I know is against RSA. I also saw locals picking on a couple that were from out of town. They were having a discussion in private and locals were swearing at them telling them to go back to Sydney with profanities. Instead of kicking out the locals misbehaving they picked on the couple and asked them to leave. I have never seen anything like it and hope to never see it again. Absolutely pathetic behaviour and have seen more intoxicated couples than the ones who were asked to leave tonight. Complete irresponsibility and I hope the management review their bar staff. On a positive note the bistro had wonderful food.

Great little club, food is delicious, my only criticism is only a small one is that it's hard to dance on carpet.

Walking into club reminded me of the early 70's. A few poker machines, bar and restaurant/ cafe. Limited menu - Chinese food, there was a steak on offer but over priced.while staff were attentive the club is in need of a better menu suited to everyone. Not everyone likes or can tolerate Chinese cuisine.

Brilliant club.

Some of the facilities are a bit dated, yet the beer is cold, the service friendly and the courtesy bus runs amazing.

The greens are in magnificent condition too!

Great locations for a short or long stay holiday nearby.

Friendly staff, service is great and the food from the bistro is very good and they have a great special on at the moment buy a main meal for $15 and get a drink with it (beer, wine or a softie), i think its only for lunch not sure (Tue-Sun) Meals are a good size too and fresh.

Ordered 3 dishes and a fried rice. Over $70 and containers only a little over half filled. Ridiculous… won’t be going back and definitely won’t be recommending; if anything will be Warning people. To be charging that price and serving that quality and quantity is so disappointing

Staff are super friendly, great live music on weekends and The Waterview Restaurant is an absolute hidden gem! Great Chinese & Vietnamese menu! Worth trying!

Great club, great atmoshere, but now the food leaves a lot to be desired, which is a pity, as it spoils a good night at the club. Hope it improves. Must give a mention of the courtesy bus driver,

I used to come here with my mum many years ago. There was one time we came here and I had no money whatsoever. I was watching the Keno and watching the numbers to get an idea of how often the Most Drawn Numbers came out. It was then I decided to write out 8 numbers for the 8 Spot (back then the jackpot was nearly $50,000) and I sat to watch the next game just to see what numbers came out. Stupid me didn't bother to ask my mum for a simple $1.because the whole 8 numbers I chose came out! I was kicking myself because I would've been nearly $50,000 richer that day! Mum was like, "Why didn't you ask me for a dollar? " I was like, "I didn't think the whole 8 numbers would come out the next game! "

For some reason, the place name has changed. I've never been to this club in my life! This review was for Morisset Country Club, not Lake Cathy Bowling Club.which I've never heard of or been to!

Awesome Australia Day put on by club. The band was great. Will return on Australia Day next year.

I absolutely love lake Cathie bowling club however it was a disappointing experience dining in last night, the food was awful and overcooked and the staff weren't very pleasant, we were met with the staff standing behind the counter constantly watching and staring at us eat, it was very uncomfortable and it seemed they had nothing better to do, we left early, the only thing we enjoyed was our drinks from the bar.disappointing to see how the restaurant has gone down hill, the food used to be amazing and the staff were so kind, you are now met with cold staff who make no attempt to provide basic customer service such as hello and goodbye, placing food on the table without a word and just an all round disappointing meal experience, a waste of $67.

Went back to the apartment for a BBQ with our 5 meat trays from the raffles.

Very friendly staff and people, would like to become a member like my very dear friend John n Joan and Ray Dillon. Fantastic area
