Lake Alexandra Reserve reviews
49Beautiful spot with a small lake against backdrop of Mount Gibraltar. Has plenty of picnic tables. It is very near to the Mittagong shops and visitor centre.
Lovely lake, surrounded by peaceful bushland. Plenty of ducks. But also, watch out for snakes.
This one turns out to be the best stopover for us on the way to Bowral.
Even we returned back to this park after a Bowral visit.
This park has all the facilities for good park you can expect.
A lake with a water fountain. Ducks, swans, and very rare turtles. There are plenty of big trees to provide shades and leafy green grass to walk on.
The place has a lot of benches and shaded and unshaded places to enjoy your time.
This park is well maintained.
Rangers and staff are doing fantastic jobs here. We saw Ranger picking up rubbish. These rubbish should have been placed on a provided rubbish bins placed in a park.
Ducks and ducklings are very friendly. Respect these birds and let them freely walk around.
This park leads to walking tracks.
All are signed well. Some photos have been posted here.
Enjoy your time there and support the staff to keep the area clean and tidy.
Many thanks
A beautiful park to break up a trip for the kids. There is also great food in Mittagong
Just sit back and enjoy the natives
Very neat & quiet! We visited on our way back from Tulip festival as this was close to Corbett gardens. Loved the walking trail around the lake. A wonderful picnic spot for families with kids. The toilets were clean and the play area was sufficient.
Great park for any age. Ducks everywhere and we had fun trying to find turtles as we walked around the lake
Such a lovely peaceful place for a morning walk. Take in all the sounds and scents as you walk. It's good for the soul.
Drove out of town to visit this reserve and it was beautiful! Our 2-year-old twins had fun feeding the ducks. Will be back again.
Good relaxing lake. If you have 3-4 spare hours, don't forget to to the hiking to the fall.
Sunset at the lake. Lots of people catching the last of the sun as they play with there kids or do laps around the lake with there pets. Lovely place
A spacious place to relax for family and friends.
Fit for large group bbq and picnic.
Equipped with bbq flat grill, toilets and seperate child play area. The park has few shaded space with good size table and chairs.
It is usually busy during weekends and after school.
The birds in water area makes this place more attractive.
The parking space is big as well.
Good place for morning and evening walks.
Via this park an individual can also go to 40 foot falls on foot.
Need maintenance and may be some upgrade.
A beautiful lake, area is so clean, great path to walk around the lake, seating and public loos available
Features a plausible outdoor barbeque setting including good seating. However, it is a tad annoying making sure the green light hasn't turned off whilst you've only half cooked your sausages. The short walk around the scenic pond featuring ducks is an enjoyable short walk whilst I'm yet to further explore by taking in the 3.7km walking track. It's also good they have toilets at the venue.
Lake Alexandra Reserve is a beautiful place to take a stroll. The path around the lake is friendly to prams and strollers and the bird life is sensational. The playground kept the kids busy for a while as well.
One wouldn't expect finger paintings at the Louvre, so nor should one expect 'common' wood ducks at Lake Alexandra in the Southern Highlands.falcons, egrets, peacocks perhaps. Tres dissapoint. But the kids enjoyed it, so tres good times!
Nice park, only visited a couple time to have lunch by the lake. Looks clean and well maintained
Great playground for our toddler, which has shade and a variety of okay equipment. Lake looked lovely
Quite and beautifully place to Spen time. Enjoyed it. Parked the car on the top and spend some quality time. Toilets and picnic facilities.
This is a wonderful park! The only thing I didn't like was the fishing in the lake. It is very picturesque and the flopping fish dying on the path or being stabbed and leaving blood puddles really detracted from the experience.
