Beyond Expectation
As a scattered family living abroad in 3 different countries we were faced with the overwhelming challenge of selling the family home in Avalon. The property needed work to prepare it for sale and how to oversee this remotely, together with the management of the entire sale process seemed insurmountable.

We interviewed 2 high profile agents along with Amy Young of Laing and Simmons. The sincere, calm, focused, professional and personal approach from Amy and her partner Matt Young, and a glowing recommendation from a friend, won us over.

Amy was 100% committed and stood by her word. Together with Matt, who was also an enormous help and support to us, she achieved an excellent result in a rapidly changing market. Once a contract of sale was negotiated, they both continued to work with us up until the day of settlement to ensure the house was ready, according to the agreed conditions, for the new owners.

Selling one's family home is an emotional and challenging experience. Doing this from the other side of the world only intensifies the experience and one has to rely on others so much to do the work to a level you are comfortable and happy with.
