Lady Bird Design Creative Workshops & Jewellery

Wow, Paul and I had a fantastic time learning beginning watercolour painting with Fran. We each have paintings we created during the workshop. How Fran brings the student from complete beginner to produce a finished item is extraordinary! Her preparation, personalised session design, and her skills as educator/artist are exemplary. We will definitely do future workshops with Fran and highly recommend her to our friends, family and visitors. And she has great snacks! Thank you Fran!

My family of four, which included two mid-teens, did this workshop yesterday. Everyone totally enjoyed the experience.

Fran was warm and approachable, so easy to be with. Her studio was really comfortable and well laid out. She explained everything clearly, what the tools were for and how to use them. She was really engaging throughout the time we were there and supportive with any questions we had.

We did not lack any materials we needed. We even had a lovely lunch and afternoon tea together with her, and enjoyed the amazing views of the blue mountains!

We now all have beautiful and well fitting rings! Definitely happy to do another workshop with Fran.

Fran's art sessions are highly recommended. They are fun, full of ideas and adapting to everyone. When eight 10 year olds don't ask their parents a single question for 2 hours you know the activity has been a success! Thank you Fran for such an engaging session and for the beautiful handmade Christmas cards our relatives will be overjoyed to receive this year!

I have attended 3 of Fran’s collage creative sessions which I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved the fact that I could choose to explore the mix media collage or delve into my own project in each session. Working with Fran has inspired me to start creating some abstract artworks for the first time in many months. Thank you Fran.

Amazing evening with the family jewellery making with Fran! She’s an expert and passionate about her craft. She thought us precious metal work, design and cutting. Highly recommended workshop, even for 10 year olds!

I've attended three workshops at Lady Bird Design, and loved each one. I'll definitely be going again and again. Fran makes each workshop an enjoyable experience, and I've come away with pieces better than I thought I could ever do. I've made earrings, a collage mandala, and a painting.

One day at Fran's home I spotted the most amazing red and green stone. I really wanted to be able to wear it as a ring in a silver setting. Fran worked her magic and set it for me in a dramatic setting, a one-of-a-kind, that always draws oohs and aahs when I wear it. It's just gorgeous. The best part is being able to make a general wish about the outcome, and to then receive it as something so interesting in a concrete form. My ring is bold and strong, and just works for me. A real artisan experience.

I contacted Fran for a collage class to a group of friends through Zoom. They had an absolute ball. Fran was bright, engaging, and kind, and helped the creativity of everyone in the call.

Do not hesitate to book a Creative Class with Lady Bird Design. I have now experienced my 3rd Silver Jewellery Class and am overjoyed to think I have managed to make, with the expertise help and teaching from Fran, a set of silver jewellery for my daughter as a special gift! I was super excited to give it to her and she loves the fact her mother made it.
Next is something for myself! I am looking forward to more creativity.
