Kyoto TeppanYaki Japanese Restaurant

Came here for a friend’s birthday and it was great! Pricing is considered cheap for the service they give and amount of food they provide. Chef was super fun and engaging - would really recommend!

So good! I would give it a six if I could… We had the best chef ever and he was so entertaining! The food is absolutely delicious. They had unique sauces too. Definitely coming back!

These positive reviews are extremely hard to justify. I drove from the north shore to have dinner here based on their reviews and was very disappointed. The chef and manager were pleasant but the place was absolutely filthy and would never pass a public health and safety check for sure. There are grease covered cleaning agents placed next to large tubs of dusty teriyaki sauce sitting on the grease laden floor; along the back side wall are open cardboard boxes filled with stuff (ie open bags of coloured serviettes, a used street hat, empty wire shelves mixed with rags and a medley of knick knacks thrown in). Think of a college fraternity house - stuff everywhere! The floor was so greasy you could feel the sole of your shoe adhere to the tile and at the same time feel yourself sliding as you take your next step. The windows were cloudy from airborne grease adhering to the glass which look like they have not cleaned them for years. The grilles are filthy with food crusted on the edges and corners. The tables are sticky from grease and the toilets are absolutely disgusting with faeces along the toilet ring from someone's explosive diarrhoea. Double ick. The restrooms look like they are rarely cleaned and relects the condition of the restaurant we dined in. It was pretty gross. I didn't get food poisoning (thank goodness) but I definitely will not be a returning customer. On a positive note, the people were nice but they really are in desperate need to clean the place up. Yuck!

It was a great experience and my mother-in-law was extremely happy to celebrate her birthday here. The chef put on a fun show for all of us. The performance was entertaining, the food is great and we had a full stomach after the dinner. Excellent customer service and an unforgettable experience with the family!

Started off very slow however soup and entrees came out and were very tasty. Great chefs, food and environment. Family and kids enjoyed and would highly recommend.

This place is very entertaining and delicious. However I highly recommend to increase your catching skills. Beside that, it had also very good cuisine and very welcoming staff. Highly recommend coming here for dinner with your friends or family.

The prawns n fish were fresh n tasty? Plenty of food We we ALL so full by the end.eventhough there were 20 of us. Chef time mgt was gr8 as everyone got a dish at the same time

Very delicious food, must increase catching skills and wear something dark so that u don’t get stains. Come with friends and family like Xavier asalemo! Amazing

1st time come here with my family to celebrating my hubby's birthday. The chef is so friendly and has sense of humour. My girls were so impressed & so entertaining with his cooking performances in front of us even though they weren't eating. The foods was freshly cooked in front of us and it was so tasty and delicious. Definitely would come back to this place & would recommend this place to friend and family.

We came here last week and it was very entertaining. There were only three families booked in that night and every family had one member that was celebrating birthdays. The chef Saw made it such special day for us. We were laughing and enjoying the food all night. He was throwing bowls, cooked eggs and raw eggs and teased the kids with tricks. It was such great fun. Highly recommend. 10/10

We had an amazing experience at this Teppanyaki joint. The chef is extremely skill and entertaining. The Teppanyaki performance is both entertaining and engaging. Food taste is exceptional as well. Definitely an unforgettable experience!

This place rocks! Authentic Japanese Tepanyaki with a show! Our chef was hilarious and and made our experience wonderful for our group of 9. The food is lovely and quite well priced, a must if you love Japanese food

Just went to this restaurant and the experience was amazing. The waiters were very skilled at their work and was very engaging and passionate. If you got somebody who's birthday is coming up or just want a fun experience with good food I would definitely recommend.
