Kurnell Visitor Centre reviews
24Lack of facilities such as bbq and playground for kids, and they Charge $8 for entry to park
Wonderful place to visit, informative history of aboriginals and first fleet. Lovely area to picnic and close to ocean so beautiful view.
Great park venue. Awesome trail walks. Significant site full of Australian history. Highly recommended for family gatherings and bbqs. The facilities are clean.
The lady at the counter was very abrupt, I think she was having a bad day.
Its not a chore serving people, its your job
Great place to spend a day here.
Short walks along the beach and you can also walk through the rocks towards the steps.
There is plenty of area and few good cafe near by to grab your meal of the day and relax.
Parking was easy to find. Area is usually quite with medium traffic.
Very rude Visitor centre staff name Robert. We paid for park fee but didn't get issued a ticket for display. So we get issued a notice and have been told by ranger that this can be cancelled at Visitor Center. Robert who worked in Visitor Center refused to cancel the notice and insisted me to call office to do it.
It's nice to visit the spot where Capt Cook first landed, but its a shame when you see the degradation of the surrounding area with its Oil storage facilities etc
Awesome and very informative place to learn the history of our colony. Great for school students and parents of the students. Great staff.
Very helpful & friendly staff - Museum was great, full of historical information about James Cook & the Endeavour.
The Kurnell visitor's centre is a great place for the whole family from all walks of life to visit this wonderful area, There is a lot of information to learn about the history of Australia and Kurnell and the surrounding area. Just across the bay from La-Perouse, kurnell is a great place where you can go and unwind and relax in the natural atmosphere all around. Kurnell is a wonderful place for all to share and experience.
A little jem not getting enough light on how important this place is for the original owners and the new occupation beautiful views of the bay and few walks available in the area must see
Very interesting but the staff need a brush up on how to talk to visitors.a little customer service or at least a little more help and a little less condescension
Nice little centre. My wife said the female toilets are very clean which is a good thing for the ladies. Otherwise a necessary checkpoint to get a ticket for parking at Cape Solander.
Great place for information about the kurnell peninsula and where captain cook arrived and a great selection of books and souvenirs of Australia and helpful staff.
A must to visit. The displays and cinema shows life here before and after white occupation. Also shows the deterioration of transport. The place could be accessed by ferry.
Very interesting place needs more funds to develpo its resources. Dont forget to oay on entyr$8
Very basic presentation and rather dull. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tourist shop items are a lovely range and quality. Original paintings for sale are mostly way overpriced. Some of the artifacts are wonderful. Looking forward to seeing the new Visitor Centre when it is built.
Very neat pit stop with alot to read about the early findings of exploring Australia. Front desk also very knowledgeable and youre welcome to stay and watch some videos. I much preferred the displays and prints on the outside, worth a visit for a little history appreciation. Get yourself a map too, so you can walk the area.
Very educational. Learn all about Captain Cook, the Endeavour, first encounters with indigenous people. Nice walks and picnic spots.
