A couple of weeks ago, my sisters and I had a personal skills make-up lesson ran by Thel and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Not only did Shaun and Thel accommodate us having the session together, Thel also set us up in our own private room and prepared some snacks and sparkling water to make up feel welcomed and comfortable from the get go.

He made us laugh throughout while also being very patient in imparting his knowledge, answering any questions we had, demonstrating his techniques, and correcting our applications as we tried them for ourselves.

At the end of the lesson, we were able to redeem the price of the lesson on Kryolan’s make-up products and were even given a goodie bag each on top!

We learnt so much technically (even on skincare!) and just had a very pleasant and memorable time overall. We would highly recommend!

Yesterday I went to the Kryolan store to check out some items in anticipation for Halloween.

My experience with make up is somewhat limited and self taught. Any time a buy something new, I don’t always know if it will do what need it to, how it will work with other products, or even if I’m using it correctly. And although I am enjoying the experience of teaching myself, it can be very daunting walking into a professional make up store, as there is so much to know.

After a quick look around, I was approached by a sales person, Sean (Shawn/Shaun?). What an absolute angel! Sean was so lovely, knowledgeable and helpful. My worries were completely washed away. They answers all my questions, demonstrated the product and showed me an few alternatives to give me some choice.

I left feeling confident in my purchase and excited to go home and try out my new goodies!

I should also mention there was another sales person present, who was also very lovely, but I did not get their name, I’m afraid.

Thanks Kyrolan for staffing your store with such welcoming, fun and inviting staff. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I will definitely come back next time I am in need of something.

I went to Kryolan with my girlfriends to get our makeup done for my hens. Thel was amazing to communicate with and a very talented makeup artist. We also had Sean on the day who did a brilliant job. The vibe was so fun as we sipped champagne, laughed and watched each other get glammed up. Highly recommend!
Also should make note that the price for our full face of makeup was redeemable in product and the products are amazing!

I recently purchased lip products to combat lipstick bleed. I asked Polly at the Darlinghurst store for help. I received an email with recommendations and the links. I placed my order online. Really happy with the products and the great service. I'll be ordering the matte lipsticks in more colours soon.

I booked a Drag Makeup application with Thel for my birthday. I was a bit nervous being my first 'real' drag attempt and I didn't really know what I wanted to look like besides a vague concept. Thel's suggestions along the way helped (such as not blocking brows, which was perfect to achieve the 'natural' look I hoped for).

Thel took on what little information I gave him and ran with it and I was absolutely in LOVE with the end result! I felt so gorgeous afterwards (if I can say), the makeup was stunning but still natural and it got lots of complements during the night.

Steph who was also there in the afternoon helped to make me feel at ease and both Thel and Steph were super encouraging as well which helped for my first time in drag!

I'm so glad I booked in it was such an amazing transformation thank you again so much!

I did the Personalised makeup lesson at Kryolan Darlinghurst with Steph! Steph was so lovely, attentive and made the lesson so much fun! I learnt a lot of tips and tricks and Steph chose gorgeous products to do a day to night look with. Amazing service and products! The store is a very clean and bright space! Friendly, professional service. Received help with covering my pigmentation/dark circles. I was colour matched and shown how to colour correct. I was so impressed. And not to mention relieved. No more getting lost In a major makeup stores and wasting money on products that aren't right for my skin. I'll be going back for a lesson.
