Koorong reviews
40Huge book store with everything, great cafe and loved the kids playground. On-site parking also!
Big store with cafe. Good mix - kids section, theology/study resources section, film and movies section, ornaments section.small outdoor kids area and used books boxes at entrance.
Small carpark which is often full in peak times, some street parking or plenty space at shopping centre across road.
Kiosk PC to find items.
Online store.
Couple of registers at front.
Sydney's biggest Christian bookstore - something for everyone. Personally, I did prefer it years & years ago when it was on the other side of the railway line - smaller shop, but much more given to serious theological works than it has been for the last few decades. Still, worth a look inside for a spare hour or so.
Just about everything & anything is available to order online via their excellent website, but going to Amazon or other international online book stores can sometimes be cheaper anyway.
Great selection of interesting books coffee and muffins are bonus.
Great staff and service
A well stocked and logically laid out Christian bookshop, with very friendly staff. I would recommend Reformers Bookshop where possible, but this rates a strong second. There is an attached cafe, so you could literally spend all day here, browsing books and eating.
Worst customer service I have ever encountered. I felt extremely offended when the manager, Robert, loudly suggested for someone to watch the till right infront of me implying that I might steal even though I was on my phone and no where near the till. The store was close to closing time and they refused to let me pick up my order while I was already in the store, even though the item they placed on hold was incorrect. When I asked for the right item that I initially asked to be held for me, the lady at the counter refused stating that they're closed. Absolutely ridiculous and lazy staff. I havent had service this horrible and dissimissve in a standard bookstore let alone a "christian" one. For shame. Never stepping foot in this store again.
Spiritual ventilator for sick Sydney.
Thank you for seamless service of supply of great spiritual books of the modern prophets for the world.
Always super helpful. They are super understanding of kids being instore, great Cafe and there's gifts instore for every budget.
This is a faith based bookshop. Everything from New Age to True Historical Christianity.
Coffee shop needs more staff.play area is nice and enclosed.
Been to this place multiple times. Always spent up quite a lot of money and spent time until closing times. Really appreciate that the staffs are friendly and helpful in recommending tailored gifts. They have pens/ name tags with free engraving, gift bags, calendar, bibliography, books on relationship/parenting, Bible study, journal, mugs and more. Spend over $100 and get free coffee/ recyclable bag. Toilet and small reading section available. Parking available&super close to West Ryde station.
Amazing place if you're looking for any sort of Christian material - books, Bibles, DVD's, audio, gifts, posters, etc. Lovely staff. Spacious shop. Very close to railway station. And a cafe on-site for your coffee and snack. What more could you want?
Koorong is one of the last bookstores in Sydney I'm keen to visit. Huge range, helpful customer service and all the best Christian living, theological, and kids books. I'm disappointed by how they also stock the false teachers from the USA, but they're easy enough to avoid. Take the family or a carload of friends, buy something for yourself and a few gifts for others, then grab a coffee at the cafe.
Amazing selection. Only objection is the selling of books by false prosperity teachers (Joel Osteen, Brian Houston etc.) Other than this, i absolutely love this place and it's the go-to place for all things Christian
I love this book store. It’s super organised and has a good range of products from wall art to stationary and books. The coffee shop is lovely too. Every now and then they’ll give you discount vouchers and coupons that you can spend on your next purchase + lots of All Store discounts to keep an eye out for.
In this spirit, Koorong offers Churches and Christian organisations the opportunity to promote their services and events through their various media channels, including catalogue inserts, website banners, emails, and more.
Its quite a drive from the east side however it is worth the trip.love this shop, plenty parking, accept CC.coffee nice and the cafe very pleasant and food nice, kids area great while you cruise around the shop.everything I need to research and study the bible are to be found.staff very helpful and knowledgeable. I could spend hours and alot of money here.amazing store even my kids found books that interest them.including kids bible, also every country bible within their mother language are sold here. Samoan bible Tongan, Fijian etc.
Massive, Amazing literary experience.
As a Bible Worker I liken this to a kid in a toystore or lolly shop. No Christian book store compares where I live.
There was a 25% off sale today also.
Extensive selection of Christian resources all at 20% off and friendly, helpful staff made it a great shopping experience!
Staff not helpful at all.like it was a big deal to get help. Not a good experience. Couldn't find what I wanted. If the staff were more friendly and more helpful. They would have made a sale.
A dream, an oasis of peace! Explosion of devotionals and books on prayer. No Christian should be prayerless with the amount of choice on those shelves! An assistant was happy to run around after me and gather what I wanted. Whew, I spent up large, but these are books and gifts I've been wanting a long time. I want to go back and buy the darling Noah's Ark and pairs of animals.surely I know an under-5 to give this to? !
