KOKO Amusement 614 George St reviews
34Has two chunithm machines, which is greater than the average of less than two. Pretty cool.
Huge selection of arcade games and air conditioned, but best top up deal doesn’t compare to Timezone venues when they have double dollars.
While I love the whole arcade vibe. Kokos just feels very crummy and low effort in many ways verse timezone.
- Payouts of machines (claws and such) are stupidly high and the odds are winning are low.
- The prizes themselves are just cheap, there isn't anything really authentic or worth your trouble. (Unless it's the 10,000,000 ticket Tesla.).
- staff often just seek grumpy and rude.
- place itself is very grotty, and need a deep clean.
Fix the taiko machines asap and I’ll change this to a 5 star
Edit 18/8/2023: taiko machines are mostly fixed so adjust this review from 1 star to 3 star. I want the original sticks back!
Edit 12/11/2023: taiko machines are pretty okay right now (except the left cab p2 has some dead spots) I’ll change this to a 3.5 star for now
This is probably one of the biggest Koko I've been to and has the most playable machines. That being said, I have noticed from my frequent visits that the overall hygiene around the place is pretty bad. Some of the machines I played (Chuunithm especially) have grime all over the controls.
P. S. I still find it hilarious that you have to tap your Koko card (no charge) to get to the toilet.
Awesome looking place! I only went inside to see what it was like and I knew straight away I wanted to go and experience it for my birthday this year which I am looking forward to. I haven't played anything there but the game variety looks so cool. I recommended it to one of my friends as well because I love arcades and Koko looks really fun.
Fantastic arcade. Won a claw machine. Try the buck shooting game you get a lot for one swipe.
Great arcade/amusement centre. Did not offer as great of a deal as Timezone offers but nonetheless has a huge variety of different games and most importantly no ‘broken’ machines.

This may sound weird but all I can say is that this place just melt my heart. The games are very cute and enjoyable to play!
Don't come here to play taiko, either go to the TimeZone in Market City or the Koko at Event Cinema. The left cab has been broken (especially P1 drum) for weeks yet there seems to be no attempts to fix it. If you play Chunithm, you are coming here for a sauna experience, not to play rhythm games. There are no fans situated near the cabinets, despite argueably being the place where the temperature is highest here. I guess the experience is alright if you play maimai.
I love going here sm, but damn it gets hot in there (which is understandable) and bishi bashi is often broken, but otherwise it’s a great place to go with a wide range of activities!
Pretty good. Too many weird korean japanese token games for me liking but piint blank dx which is a super plus
I'm too old for this place so I'll write this on my behalf of my 8yo daughter who always go mad coming to this place and she's not allowed to write reviews: "OMG OMG OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE. I ALWAYS COME HERE WITH MY DAD AND I RUN AROUND EXCITED LIKE CRAZY. I LOVE MARIO CART RACING AND MINE CRAFT MACHINES. "
Staff were amazing last night, helped us without question. Loved the pool tables. Thank you for a great night.
Not too bad a place, just wish there was closer locations. Do love the 8 extra wmmt 6rr machines for sure, barley any queues for us nerds:)
Underground game center in sydney cbd.
You need a Koko card to play the games here. Any amount is available. But they have deals for top up. $25 get $30 credit. The more you top up, more bonus credit you will get. Valid for up to 3 years or more. Staffs were nice and friendly but not huge variety of game machines here. Some are pretty old and dont work properly anymore.
If you have couple of hours to spare and dont know what to do, playing games here is not a bad option.
Even though there was a large variety of games to choose from. 3 of us armed with $45 each did not win a single thing on the machines
Gotta say it's probably my favourite arcade by a fair bit, even though it's a bit far from where I live. The prices there seem appropriate and I think does actually beats TZ on price. What makes it one of my favourites is the array of games with the many available rhythm game cabinets (maimai, chunithm, sdvx, taiko, ddr, dancerush) and also that it seems to be one of the only arcades that seem to have the Initial D Arcade Game cabinets.
It does tend to get busy though that isn't really much of a problem to me.
This video arcade is so much fun! Coin pushers, games of chance and regular arcade games are abound here. The point system is generous and the big-prize machines pay out often. A must-go!
