We went to a variety of kitchen companies for quotes and found that Kitchenworks were the best by far. They did a fabulous job, very prompt, very friendly and great to deal with. It's nice to support a local business and they had a great team of tradies.
We're very happy with the final result.

Our schedule went according to plan and all trades turned up on time and did all work very professionally and were all very polite. This was not a great experience. A basic design and then a loose introduction to a bunch of tradies to do the work, none of whom worked for Kitchenworks and none of whom had been told what to do on arrival. Next to zero project management and not a single person from Kitchenworks came to review how things were going or to look at issues. The renos took ‘months longer than estimated and every tradie charged more than was quoted because so little work was put into the quote.

It would have been cheaper and easier to have gone direct to the kitchen cabinet manufacturer and engaged our own tradies.

Also, be warned that Kitchenworks expect payment upfront for everything and claim this is normal business practice. Our kitchen has only recently been completed after starting at the end of January, mostly due to poor management and incomplete ordering of panels, doors etc.

KitchenWorks were great to deal with, really lovely people. They come up with a couple of excellent ideas and we were so happy we went with them. Their communication was excellent, they were very responsive to my messages, the schedule provided worked well and the job was done in 7 weeks! Considering the hold ups being experienced across the board in trades and building, pretty impressive.

I would absolutely recommend KitchenWorks to anyone looking for an efficient and reliable kitchen team, a very reasonable price, and a fabulous kitchen.

Worst company and customer service ever.
We discussed our design with the owner or designer who came to measure and quote. We never got a quote. Then after following up multiple times, we received a quote that wasn't the design we wanted. We contacted them multiple times, mostly to no response or answer. Then the sub contractor they use turned up with barely any idea on what was going where. He had the wrong design on his plans so lucky we were there to show him.
Then there were drawers and other items missing and not installed.
Do not pay them upfront for anything.

It's now been 4-6 weeks since original installation, they wanted to charge extra after a ridiculous quote to begin with.

They will also rip you off if they get the chance

We also asked them for extra features like a dishwasher, laundry space, etc. They took all the stress away from us. They had a clear work schedule and great contractors. We are getting so many compliments from everyone about the design, layout and finish of our kitchen that we couldn't be happier.the guys at Kitchenworks have always been very responsive and we felt well looked after. Even months after the work on our kitchen was done they helped us with additional work.

More than 6 months on, my mum is still thrilled with her kitchen. We spent 10 years in a kitchen that was falling apart with a lot of useless storage space so we knew exactly what we wanted.

I really appreciate how Michael was accommodative to changes to the design in the middle of construction (mum wanted a cabinet in some dead space that we only realised was present once the kitchen started coming together). We didn't mind that it delayed things for a few weeks, we wanted to be happy with the final product.

There was an issue with the glass splashback where they wanted way more than what we were quoted (so we found our own tradesman for that who did it for much cheaper) but other than that, things went quite smoothly.
We could have very easily gone with a cheaper company, but we are so glad we decided to stay local.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with this company. Elements of the design were poor, to the point we had to make changes along the when their own tradesmen asked why it was such a poor design (Eg an entire wasted corner void of dead space that even now with our own suggested adjustment is difficult to use).
Some elements of the functionality are now difficult for us to use in daily life, for example very long deep shelves that even with a stool we can’t reach the back of. Our fridge barely fits in the space provided and drawers almost bang the fridge every time they open (they miss by 1mm, for example).
Our cabinetry was measured incorrectly so the installer had to cut into it to fit it into the space. The dishwasher door was measured incorrectly so had to be re-ordered.
Trades were arriving with no work order or direction and bumbled along on some days, at some points demanding more money for things that were pre-agreed with our design (or omitted by KitchenWorks and their poor design). Trades would show up at early hours of the morning unannounced, out of the blue.
At the end, they tried to argue that it did not need a bulk head and were almost willing to leave the job incomplete until I emailed and pushed for a site visit to show how terrible the “finished job” in relation to the top of the cabinetry, was - to which they then agreed it was incomplete.
The whole saga dragged on for 4-5 months (not the 3 weeks we were advised) and juggling a young child, it was not easy. No partial refund or compensation of any kind was offered to us for this experience, despite our request. Will not be using again.

Right from our initial meeting the team at Kitchenworks have been a dream to work with. They stayed true to quote (which was fantastic value for money), the kitchen quality is excellent and all members were fantastic to deal with. Our bin did not do what it was meant to do and i wanted something fixed/changed but nothing was ever too much trouble and fixed promptly. They had exactly the style i wanted and nothing was too much for them. Highly recommend.

Kitchen works installed my kitchen in 2012 and it is still beautiful with smooth self close drawers and soft close doors. However, recently (8years later) someone in my household accidentally chipped the paint on one of the doors near the sink. I was concerned that it may become further damaged if water got on to it so I contacted Michael from Kitchenworks. He organised someone to pick up the door, assess and replace it and then reinstall it at no cost. Such an amazing service and fantastic quality.

Michael, Sam and Rhys did a fantastic job on our kitchen, butlers pantry and laundry. The whole team were so patient with changes that needed to be made, prompt replies, and made the overall process so easy for a first time renovator. I can't recommend them enough!

It's been about 3 years since Kitchenworks installed our kitchen, and while any new kitchen should look great and operate well - 3 years in and our kitchen still looks amazing and functions super well. The product is good quality and durable (all hinges, drawer slides and joins are as they were the day they were installed), standing up to the test of time and LOTS of use. The workmanship is excellent, the trades are all very professional and do a great job that lasts.

Kitchenworks were absolutely marvellous in building the kitchen of my dreams. Sam was brilliant with the design. I now have a pantry behind my fridge, which was an incredible use of space. I was lucky enough to have a celebrated chef help with the fittings and appliances and it now has a cool "cafe / industrial" look which I love. Sam project managed renovation of the whole place, kitchen, laundry and new floorboards throughout. All the tradesmen that came through were excellent and efficient, especially Jason the tiler who was able to do a really funky design with the tiles in the laundry. There were a few hiccups and delays, on my part (the floor was wonky, dodgy electrical box etc) but Sam was able to handle them all with charm and grace and reschedule seemlessly. He even gave emotional support when I was completely overwhelmed with unpacking, going way above and beyond what was necessary. He was even able to give me a referral to a company that dealt with unpacking. All in all a fantastic result in the end. Can't thank them enough.

Mostly decent work, expect to get what you pay for. People will show up with no idea what they’re supposed to do, will blame the last person on the job for doing it wrong or your house being old, will try to take the easiest and laziest route possible. Owners will try their best to make you happy but rely on their subs. Still don’t have the drawer cutlery inserts from the contract and have moved on from the idea it will ever arrive.
