The ultimate day trip beach, busy on public holidays. Plenty of shaded areas to relax. Gentle waves when swimming as Kings Beach sits within a bay, however you do get the occasional surfers. Has a beautiful rainforest walk to and from car parking. Additional overflow parking further south from main car park next to an access gate on western side of road to private property which avoids no standing zone signage. (Yes parking tickets aplenty issued / enforced to red ‘no standing zone’ signed areas during peak times - don’t be fooled by absence of cars where their seems to be spare room further south)

Always a great little escape. If you like it busy, come weekend. If seclusion and bit of space is what you're after, arrive super early on a workday and get the best under the shade trees. • bring water.

Spectacular rugged beach off the beaten path, literally a 5-10 minute walk through the jungle or a rocky, jagged coastal path, access affected by tides. Sneakers recommended!
One of the most beautiful in the Byron area, and known as a nude beach - totally not required though. Its quite gay as well, but women and kids are present sometimes as well.
During New Year's, the Tropical Fruits festival makes this beach a popular spot for cruising and can be quite full. Outside of this its usually much quieter. Definite activity happening in the bush this time of year.
Good waves for body surfing, but watch for rip tides and blue bottles (jelly fish)!
