Kimchi House of Korea reviews
42Amazing friendly warm service and delicious food. The owners are super passionate about their food and explaining the dishes. Flavoursome authentic Korean food that I can't recommend enough!
The best customer service I have ever had, extremely informative and always quick to help/serve everyone and make sure everyone Is happy. The food, best Korean cuisine in Newcastle. 5 Stars
This is without hesitation in the top 3 best Korean restaurants I have tried (And I’ve lived in culinary cities like Paris, New York and Melbourne.)
Everything is homemade by the chef, I took a Tofu BiBimBap and Honey fried chicken. Wow! Amazing!
• The fried chicken is of the highest quality and you can taste they don’t use bad oils or chemicals to fry the meat.
• The tofu is perfectly cooked.
• Everything tastes fresh with great quality ingredients.
The chef is so kind, passionate and will have a little chat with you and answer all your questions.
You can sit in a wide and fresh room inside or enjoy the terrace.
Don’t hesitate and pick this restaurant for your next dinner! We will come back for sure.
Unreal experience. Owner is a legend. Not only did the 3 of us have a great meal, but he ran us through the history and origins of Kimchi and other Korean foods. If I lived locally I would be here weekly. The kimchi/pork belly and the house made ddokkbokki are a must!
A nice Korean restaurant and customer service was great. David the owner was such a lovely man and had the time to talk to all the customers. He was very passionate on talking about the dishes we ordered. The food was traditional Korean and typically what you would expect.
Situated in Hamilton amongst a variety of ethnic restaurants - Egyptian, Lebanese and Korean all nestled in one building.
Will definitely be back when we go to Newcastle again.
Great food, atmosphere and the owner was very friendly and attentive.surprised there weren't more people there
Visited here with my partner and the service was amazing. Food was even better, definitely coming back.
Very delicious foods with affordable prices. The owners are also very friendly and delivered amazing service. I had a great time and will definitely return there to enjoy more delicious foods.
Hidden Gem of Newcastle, incredible food, massive portions at affordable prices. The owners prepare 100% Authentic Korean cuisine and not only tell you about the culture, but give you the Korean experience. 100% recommend SO YUMMY!
Truly one of Newcastle’s treasures when it comes to eating out. The owners are the nicest people you’ll ever meet and the food is the best. Beef stone pot bibimbap and the sweet/spicy fried chicken are personal favs. This place deserves all the support in the world!
Was visiting from Sydney and ate here two days in a row. One of those days, we had to take away because the restaurant was closing, but we thought it was worth it anyway! Our favorite dish was the bibimbap, which we ordered both times. The staff/owners are lovely, and the vibe of the staff as well as the taste of the food felt like an authentic Korean family-made dinner. I thought the price was definitely worth it, because you are paying for the experience of a Korean family-made meal, where even the sides are family-made and all very delicious and unique to this place. It won’t be your standard Korean restaurant you’d get in Sydney, but we personally think that’s a good thing because the taste of the food is wonderfully special, is fresh, and healthy as well (they are very generous with veggies!). Overall great experience, will be coming back next time we are in town.
This place is the best Korean restaurant me and my family have gone to, the staff and customer service was absolutely amazing the owners are the friendliest people ever one of the owners informed us how long it takes to prepare and make the food, you can tell the food is made with love I will DEFINITELY be eating here again.
Very authentic and tasty Korean cousin. We stop and have a meal here, every time we go to Sydney or Newcastle (we live on the Midcoast).
The amount of meals is generous and the selections are well chosen. Their potato pancake and Budae stew (army stew) are my favourite, if you haven’t tried ‘Korean fried chicken’, you must try it!
The staff members are always kind/helpful and the toilet is well maintained.
The owner of this place is a super nice and easy to talk to guy, and the food was AMAZING:)
Comparing to the Korean restaurants we’ve been to in Sydney, the food portion was very small for the price. Food taste was okay but not really worth a second visit.
The service attitude was very good.
Rarely I get good Asian food in Oz but this is one of the few hearty meals I had for a long while! Everything I ordered was yummy! Fried chicken was soft n tender, the spicy tofu soup was just rightly spiced. Beef bulgogi was also tender and sweet the way I liked it! Nothing I didn’t like here! Owner was extremely kind and friendly too! Only wished I found this sooner and that I had a bigger belly to try the pancake, bibimbap and other dishes! Definitely highly recommended for authentic Korean meal!
Meals were very authentic & very tasty. The owner who served us was really friendly, he even took time to explain the origins of some of our dishes. He was very passionate and you could see he loved cooking his countries food for customers. Will definitely go back when we visit Newcastle again, we really enjoyed the meal.
What’s not to like about this restaurant, food is always fresh and balanced, spice can be tailored to suite everyone, we tend to have seafood and beef and both are so tasty, the staff are very attentive and polite, the venu itself is well set out and the owners always say hi, we have been regulars for some time and I’ve introduced a heap of my friends to the place, highly recommend the place
We love Kimchi House of Korea, we go as often as we can. The service is always above and beyond, and the food is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.
Had a wonderful dinner here with another couple. The Korean gentleman who served us was very warm and friendly and we loved his explanations of the cultural significance of various aspects of the meal. The whole dining experience was thoroughly enjoyable and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
