Kids OT

My wife visited today for an assessment for our son. The reception talked down to her the whole time. Didn't even offer private sessions until after she was asked and then looked over the rim of her glasses and explained with attitude that they would be $145. Just because someone comes in with their child in their active wear, doesn't mean they couldn't afford a $145 session weekly. Basic humanity and customer service with a lack of profiling is what is appropriate. Maybe she should have put her car keys on the table and flashed her dimond ring or carried her LV bag when she visited. Maybe she'd have been treated like she could be there. We will find somewhere that welcomes us and wants to help our son.

Non-responsive admin, random invoicing, confusing communication regarding programs, and poor communication with therapists on day programs. My son was booked onto the wrong program, I was given 40 minutes notice to collect him, he was highly distressed. When I cancelled the second date with 72 hours notice, I was made to fight for a refund which I have still not received in full. Emails go unanswered for weeks. The reports are generic and could be written about any child. Furious that organisations out there are cashing in on children's disability funding rather than providing an organised service that children feel secure and happy going to.

This place is a joke, the admin staff are hopeless you call and call and they always say they will get back to you but never call. They also give you a different answer each and everytime about the same question asked. As for the skills timetable it is constantly changing and the class are always getting cancelled or change without enough notice

Kids OT been there for me every step of the way from early primary school with Amanda (my OT) supporting me through all of my primary school years and some of my highschool years. Also supporting me through my later highschool years helping setup special provisions for my HSC

I have also joined the martial since it started up and I am now currently employed by them teaching as one of the main instructors. Over the years of instructing I've seen kids develop and improve an incredible amount.

This has been really hard to write because there is too many good things I can say.

Really disappointed! Its so frustrating when your problems become a money game for others, I went yesterday for an assessment for my son and at the end of the session the Therapist told me exactly the same what i told her about my kid at the beginning of the session.that yes, he had anger issues and need to learn to control himself and the only way to help him is coming back for sessions one on one that will cost $150 each so I paid for an "Assessment " for someone to tell me what i already know $520 (because he has already reports from a psychologist and another behavior therapist saying the same) and the only way to help him is coming back and pay more and probably get nothing again.plus they make u fill out some forms that supposed to give them information about the kid but off course they need you to go and spend $520 to tell u what you already know.more than angry i feel frustration and sadness to see how people take advantage of you, just for the money.

We love coming to Kids OT intensive program. My son is thriving there and we all learned valuable techniques managing emotions and behavior. I can't talk highly enough about the place.
