I had a really enjoyable time, in the 4 days I was there. A lot of walking trails to explore, and a zip line and pool to enjoy. Not to mention the comfortable cabins and a games room on site.

Only stayed 1 night but wouldn’t have minded staying longer. Cabin was well laid out and homely. Manager who assisted us was brilliant and overall cannot fault. Amazing place

Stunning place to stay and one that we loved so much we even extended a night. Staff were super accommodating, the property itself was fun, calming and brought back nostalgia of school camps.

Lots of fun activities - mini golf, flying fox and archery for the kids in school holidays, canoes, tennis/basketball/bocce, walks, and a swimming pool.

Rooms themselves are very comfortable and it seems from the reviews that they are all getting updated if they haven’t already.

The owners/staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and lovely to deal with!

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

I went there, it is very nice and has the best day activities for kids. Trust me, they are super fun and you might feel nervous about one of the activities…

Great fun for the kids, did zip fly and mini golf, short drive up from boydtown, and well worth it

I think camp's co-located facilities should be renovated. For example entertainment room game equipment or boat life jackets, etc.staffs are very polite and nice. Expensive for this quality. By the way the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Very nice location to relax and unveil. Very helpful and friendly staff. An alternate option to camping for those who don't like camping but like to experience staying in bushes. Close to beaches and other attractions, in house activities for keeping kids entertained.
Loved facilities provided, wood heater, barbeque, etc, A home away from home in the bushes!

A welcoming place for everyone!
Surrounded by the dense bushland of Tathra it is nestled amongst the wildlife and has an array of activities if you wish to spend the day here and explore what it offers. The artwork on the walls are hilarious! They are really offering a place to unwind or not if that is your choice and importantly they are ecologically friendly. I have immensely enjoyed my two days here.

My husband and I intended to stay one night and continue our road trip up the coast but now have extended our stay!

The cabins are so cosy and comfortable with log fires and the layout out the bush retreat cabins results in a feeling of privacy, and tranquility.

We spent the day on the road but couldn’t wait to get ‘back home ‘ and relax.

The staff couldn’t be more helpful. I asked for an extra frypan and within minutes a new one was delivered to our cabin.

I was surprised at how many extra facilities are offered free of charge like tennis, new pool, putt putt golf, canoeing on the lake, volleyball etc. If you have kids they would love the space and freedom to explore in safety in a natural setting. So much good healthy fun to entertain the kids!

The on-site bush walking trails are a plus for me as I could walk alone (while my non hiking husband relaxed in the cabin) and feel safe that I wouldn’t get lost as I was still on the extensive property. I love a challenging hike and the trails ranged from short easy to more intense steep inclines etc.

You could spend the days on site and fill your day with lots to do or just kick back and relax on your private porch or take a short drive (or hike) into town or the beach.

I’d strongly recommend a stay here not to mention the value for money. We stayed in both standard cabins and deluxe. My husband agrees the little extra updated details and comforts of the deluxe cabins are worth it.
I’ve already recommended this place to family and friends.

A rare piece of affordable paradise. Nestled in leafy bushland, the older but more-than serviceable cabins are surprisingly comfortable and decently appointed.
The fireplaces add a quaint touch and the almost-complete kitchens (no oven) help if you're watching the pennies. It's peaceful, tranquil and a real throwback to simpler times.
My latest stay was mid-winter; the weather is chilly but comfortable, and the area is much quieter than usual.
The addition of fast and reliable internet is really welcome, but note that Vodafone is almost unusable in Tathra.
Oh, and the mini golf course on the grounds is amazing!

We stayed in the pet friendly cabin and my friends gave it a five paw rating. Lovely bed, fire I loved looking at and playing with with lots of firewood available. We went for walks which everyone enjoyed and it was so quiet! After two years of Sydney lockdowns and endless rain it was so easy on the nerves. The cabins are nicely spaced out and angled so that you hardly feel you have neighbours at all. The hosts are so helpful and friendly and respond quickly to any problems

Shea and Andrew were great hosts. Nothing was a bother. We had cabin 19 which had been painted out and updated bathroom. We had a group of 30+ staying and some did say their bathrooms needed updating but the were all comfortable. The multitude of kids had a ball in this safe environment playing games till late at night, in the outdoors.
The activities were great with a flying fox, free 18 hole putt putt, canoeing, tennis and waling tracks.
The guy assisting Shea on the flying fox was brilliant helping the family have safe rides. The family who used the activity aged ranged from 2 to 42 and they were all very impressed scooting above the lake.
I highly recommend this relaxing venue for the youngsters and oldies (under 1 and a 90year old) and we will return.
The common area was a great get together area.
Thanks again Shea and Andrew
