A bad company with bad service and employees attitude.i don t recommend at all.i shipped my belongings and stuff from another country with another shipping company and i paid door to door. After some waiting our boxes reached Sydney port.i called them and they said we need 45 days for customs clearance.after some mails and discussion they said 2 weeks.and after tow weeks i called them.they said my shipping company they didn t pay all the money.so i offered to pay whatever left as i need my stuff. They said i can t do that and they ll store my stuff and they hang up the phone while am talking.after many calls with the management they accept my money and i transferred in half hour. Later they said they got their payment from the original shipper and they ll give me back my money.i waited 20 days to receive it back.not professional and not respectable.i felt like am begging for something not mine.

On the day of my move, there was torential rain and the crew moved what they could and waited til rain eased a bit to move the rest. They were patient and professional. The team that did my move were lovely friendly guys and very careful with all my items. They were very obliging with where items needed to go and I can't thank them enough.

Rude employees breaking strata by laws locking the lift, how they got the lift key I don't even know.telling old ladies to take the stairs sitting on the back of utes being loud and obnoxious only talking in other languages to each other, shameful do not use his service.

TERRIBLE! Worst experience I have ever had and I have moved 9 times in 15 years. They over charged and underdeliver… they left loads of stuff at the old property (so much stuff that we had to hire a van and take another 10 loads) broke my basketball ring, broke a bed, left the bed whole in my garage because they didn’t have time to take it down, complained the whole time that the quote they were given wasn’t this big, left early and pressure me to sign the form under the premise that we would be contacted on Monday to make a joint complaint against the person who quoted the job (1 professional came to my house for an hour to quote the job). It was $1000 more than any quote I had been given however we went with it because he PROMISED over and over again that on the day we would have no issues with the men because they would know exactly what to expect and they weren’t contractors…. But that was all lies they were contractors and they said there is no way they would have accepted the job for that price if they were told truthfully how big the jobs was.
When I called Monday to discuss what had happened the contractors “apparently” hadn’t said anything.
I spoke to a manger who was meant to get back to me to resolve the issues but it has been 4 months and still haven’t heard back.
NIGHTMARE! DO NOT USE!

Response to Kent’s reply on this review…. Emailed your marketing team and have still heard nothing back?

Worst company to do business and work for. Unprofessional and rude workers!
•Worst pay for very hard labour job
•Your items will be chucked around like junk
•workers and forklift operators on the “bags”.
•worst kent branch in the country, ask mr kent himself about the damages and losses claims
•a company with no plan, backup, support for other removals teams, you are left to do hard labour on your own no matter what time of the night it is.

We had a positive experience with our move from Albury to Adelaide - staff on the ground in Albury and Adelaide excellent. Booked again for a move from Adelaide to Sydney and had an absolutely atrocious experience: broken and dead items, items not delivered when booked with no explanation, no interest in searching for lost items, constant lies, misinformation and obfuscation from all Sydney-based staff. No compensation for costs incurred by us as a result of Kent's errors or damage caused by Kent. No active follow up with us, no care or concern shown by Kent. We move on an annual basis and have never used Kent again, nor do we recommend them to our network and friends.

DO NOT book with Kent, unless you want to get messed around and be hit with extra charges for their incompetance!

We had booked Kent after receiving what we thought was a reasonable quote. The representative actually came over to look at all the items we needed moving and told us that professionals would come in and pack everything for us.
On the day of packing, I returned home to find half of our items were not packed, dismantled and definitely not ready to be collected the next day.
Looking at the boxes that were packed, we found the packing team had literally used one box per big item (which obviously meant that we were going to have more boxes than quoted).
On the day of collection, me and my husband had to do their job and pack our own boxes, as the team were not made aware of all the remaining items yet to be packed.
They then had the cheek to tell us that the they could not fit all our freight into the container as there was more than quoted amd to come back another day!
So much messing around and non communication. We were leaving the country literally the day before they came to collect the remainder after trying to get in touch with for a whole day!

No contact from them once everything collected to confirm. Only after we arrived back in the UK and trying to get a response two weeks later - to be told we were expected to pay extra for the extra volume! The guy had physically come in to check the volume before quoting and the teams inefficiency to pack lead to them now holding our valuables hostage until wenpay for their incompetance!
It’s almost 4 weeks since we have moved and our freight is still being held in Sydney because no one is responding to us.

Will not be using them again

They just want to collect your information, on the website it says get a quote in 60 seconds, lie! Because they sent an email but never gave you a quote in the mentioned time.the email says "one of our moving experts will be in touch within one business day to discuss

The worst intercontinental moving experience. Chaotic and irresponsible management and arrangements. If I can give a negative score, I will give a negative 100,000 points!

Firstly, they will tell you that the shipping time is seven to ten days when you first ask. Once you paid the money and they shipped your items, they will tell you the shipping effect is 15 business days! ! ! ! And in that time, it's obvious you cannot do anything except wait.

When my stuff was shipped approaching 15 business days, I sent an email to inquire about the delivery arrangement. They quickly confirmed could deliver my stuff on Friday. However, I got a call in the late afternoon on Thursday and was told they cannot deliver the next day because they shipped my stuff to Brisbane!

I had to wait another week only because their mistake! The funny thing is that at this point I've waited a full 21 days at that time. I asked for a formal email to explain why my stuff was shipped to another state. They didn't do it, just tried to let a staff call to perfunctory me.

Thank god, these people finally gave my stuff back after the waiting whole 29 days! Obviously, things wouldn't go so smoothly under such poor management. One of my hat racks was missing a leg. The delivery staff told me he claimed for me and let me don't worry. After waiting for a week of silence, I sent an email to ask what they were going to do with it. Their email only tell you that your insurance excesses are $500, so they will not do anything for you.

All I want to say is that I waited almost a month, and even took twice leave stay at home only because they did not do their job correctly. They never think they should take any responsibility for wasting my time and energy.

Not recommended these company at all. When they came to your house they showed themselves and present themselves like star. But they said just lies. They correage you to get the premium cover to gets lots of benefits but when you decided to use the benefits they change their words.

Booked delivery of long term storage. Only half arrived and after constant follow up three weeks later I’ve been advised the Sydney team are too busy this week to deliver what they should have three weeks ago.

Emma from head office has been great and got me a solution but poor form from the Sydney team. Paid over $100 a month for storage and over $300 for it to be delivered.

My contact Charbele has been so helpful and patient which has decreased stress substantially. There were constant changes to dates and Kent was so accomodating especially considering I was moving interstate during a pandemic where moving across borders was more complicated. I would move with Kent again.

Do not use unless desperate and prepared to receive your furniture damaged or boxes missing. A large company that takes the view that damage is part of the package unless customers are prepared to pay a $500 excess to claim insurance.

Charged a horrific amount over 5K pre-Christmas for a move from Melbourne to Sydney ahead of urgent surgery for a family member and required to pay a significant amount for insurance which is more or less unusable.

Charged for special boxes to crate concrete table. Watched a series of removalists then move items into a truck without crating table or accounting for items quoted for. Crate then moved separate to table all the way to Sydney and Kent refusing to remove charges for crating of concrete table never provided. Hilariously then watched concrete table and crate for concrete table separately come off truck in Sydney.

Concrete table damaged but Kent unable to address failure to crate which I was charged for and resulting damage. Kent stating use insurance to claim when I am not prepared to pay a $500 excess to remedy this comedy of errors. Appears to hire a large number of individuals to work for them without providing sufficient training in how to move items accounting for logistics requirements without causing injury or damage. In comparison, husband's removalists were efficient, able to account for all items in move and perform move without dropping items or risking injury to themselves.

Also unable to schedule delivery to preferred dates despite 7 days notice being provided as required by contract and repeated warnings which I provided of isolation requirements post surgery. Fed up with the service and ended up getting all items left at doorway to reduce health risk due to delay in re-delivery and risk for a family member isolating as post op and in surgery recovery. I feel sorry for the call centre support staff who are helpful and apologise but are clearly dealing with a business that does not have its logistics management in order.

DO NOT USE. Company needs to undertake significant re-structuring on its logistics management. Also left with another party's boxes which Kent has never come to pick up despite calls to business.

Further update: Absolutely no response since. Below appears to be marketing trying to use its standard communications template response with no investigation of the issues raised. Highly doubt whether any of the issues raised are looked into by senior management.

Family friends have told me that these people lost their grand piano when they moved house and that they still havent found it 6 years later.
