Kenny's Pork Rolls reviews
46Lives were changed here at kennys, me and my friends stumbled across this tavern after an overwhelmingly positive recommendation from the cloak room guy at the bero. Thank u cloak man! And thank u kenny.
Cracking porkrolls the best on uber eats in town I don’t have to walk in just stay on my couch all night thanks mate
I believe that Crispy Pork Roll are better when they are made by places who specialise in Crispy Pork. Hence Kenny’s Pork Rolls are so goooddd, especially the crispy crackling. They also have unique filling options such as soft shell crab, chicken schnitzel & lamb! They also have salad bowls & rice bowls options too.
Whilst they’re slightly pricier than average banh mi due to location, the pork was generous. The only thing which would make it perfect if the bread was a tad thinner & chilli to be spicier (could be just me though). Cool vibe & they also have seatings to sit down. They’re open til 3AM on Fri & Sat nights (at the time of this post)!
Kenny’s Pork Rolls on Oxford Street are truly the best pork rolls in Sydney —hands-down. They are always fresh and contain high quality ingredients - consistently. My favorite is the classic pork roll with chili, it’s simply the best.
Very yummy pork rolls! The crispy pork skin was light and crunchy, super generous with the fillings, full of meat and salads. Slow cooked beef was good too - not dry at all, tasted more like barbecue sauce than Asian flavours though.
The chips were amazing, very crunchy and very well seasoned.
Love the rolls from here! But I remember when they used to also have rice paper rolls and I really miss them Kenny! Please bring those back:)
The place is an absolute rip off. Prices were astronomical and portions were small and stingy. Was still hungry afterwards. Better off visiting another store. I will certainly never return!
Not your traditional banh mi but still yummy. A lot of pork filling but lacking in the amount of crackling.
Good prices (especially for location!) & top quality food. I like when the man himself Kenny is there as he's always great when interacting with the customers & makes you feel welcome as soon as you step into the shop
Crispy pork roll is delicious but very filling. The crispy part almost tastes like crackers. I also love soft shell crab roll.
Had the Pork Meatballs with Rice and it was delicious! Super filling and reasonably priced. A+
Was amazing service very fast and staff and management are very friendly. The food is amazing and fresh! Highly recommended! The best!
Very good place for awesome rolls to die for owner is wonderful and the lady's are very good roll makers I suggest this place to many of my friends and they love this place as much as I do
Not quite what I expected. The pork crackling was really good (crispy, tasty and juicy) but it was overpowering the veges because there was too much of it compared to the vegetables. I was waiting for that nice mix of vegetables taste but hardly had it. I was not asked for chilli as well which I did not realise until I was eating it already so was too late. I’m after a good balance of the meat and vegetables so I did not appreciate this, maybe meat lovers might love it.
Yoooooo what a top bloke! Very well taken care of here and the food matches the hospitality. The ratio of filling for the grilled chicken Bánh mì was well balanced and seasoned so well. Ended up getting half KG boxes of the pork crackling and 8hrs slow cooked pulled beef for later. Great fill for lunch or a hangout, will be a regular for me
Soft shell crab in a banh mi was never on my wildest dreams a possibility that worked in my head. But I had to try it and wow, what creativity and blending on flavours. Seriously good Banh mi. Oxford st is lucky to have such quality banh mi.
Soft shell crab roll was delicious! Had to call the store after ordering wrong item online, guy that answered was super friendly and fixed it up it for me!
Good food, friendly staff. Owner is generous and thoughtful - saw one of my colleagues licking their lips at the roast pork and he added it as a free addition to his order.
Wow…. Wonderful roast pork banh mi! Served by Kenny himself who is so chirpy & friendly & generous. We used a voucher & he even gave us extra off. Amazing…. And the crackling was so crunchy & flavour balanced. We had one with chilli & one with less chilli. And was done perfectly.
In the heart of Oxford Street sits Kenny’s Pork Rolls, a little joint that serves up some of the best bánh mì I've had in a long time.
You walk in and the first thing you notice is the mural on the left which I believe was done by Sam Shennan. The range of illustrations from street signs to food to a bikini top, sit on the top of the vibrant pride colours which keeps in theme with every other business on Oxford Street.
Kenny is probably the most welcoming business owner I've ever come across and I think this is what makes him different from a lot of other people and what makes this place so great. He greeted every single person who walked through the door in the time that we were there, by name. He has obviously built relationships with each and every one of his customers, which is a lovely thing to see.
We were served up 3 of his most popular rolls. Look how beautiful they look against that mural though.
The first roll I tried was the ‘Chicken Schnitzel’ and it was just so delicious. It went perfectly with Kenny’s in-house mayonnaise and pate, along with the fresh vegetables and signature sauces. Of course, the ‘Signature Crispy Pork Roll’ was to die for and yes, it was crispy! We were given more pork crackling to cut into and it was the right amount of crunch and flavour. The ‘Slow cooked Beef Roll’ was also a pleasure to eat. I mean, you can't go wrong with beef that's been slow cooked for 8 hours, right? !
For those who want a lighter option, Kenny also offers salad bowls. The same delicious meats but served on top of fresh salads and sauces. We had the ‘Signature Crackling Roast Pork bowl’, the ‘Veggie Spring Roll Salad Bowl’ and my favourite, the ‘Soft Shell Crab Bowl’. I can't begin to describe how good that soft shell crab was! I'm drooling just thinking about it.
As well as the traditional rolls and the salad bowls, we also got to try the chips, marinated chicken wings, veggie spring rolls and curry puffs. No surprise here, they tasted delicious too!
