Katrina Wright - Property Excellence

Beware of Katrina Wright and their agency! We were misled and pressured into signing a contract without our solicitor’s input. The agent assured us we could review and amend it later, but the truth emerged post-signing: a significant flood risk, conveniently omitted.
Adding to the deception, during our inspection, we explicitly asked about flood issues. The agent confidently assured us there were none, stating the owner had never seen a flood, and the gully had only a small amount of water.
This gross misrepresentation led us to sign a contract blind to the actual risks, resulting in the loss of our deposit during the cooling-off period. Such unethical practices and deceitful behaviour demand extreme caution. Think twice before dealing with this agent.

I'd gladly share my emails, texts, and call records if possible. Our solicitor couldn't review the contract over the weekend, including the 'concerned' item twisted by Katrina during the inspection - a fact we both acknowledge. The person on the phone was an assistant who just suggested to not to sign before they review the contract, not our solicitor, and we trusted Katrina again, which proved to be a mistake. The entire 'exchange' process took just 75 minutes on Saturday, starting from the offer accepted, including our 1-hour travel time, which indicates the fact that how much we were pressured.

Unfortunately, our attempts to address these issues were met with rudeness and no acknowledgment of wrongdoing. Not even an apology for the misleading information that cost us our deposit. We expected professionalism and accountability but received neither. It's disheartening.

Thank you Chris Gray for all your phenomenal work to help a vulnerable family escaping family and domestic violence and liaise with with external services. An absolute pleasure to work with, ever so patient and willing to go the extra mile!

We called upon Katrina to sell our investment unit. We had renovated it a number of times in the 24 years we owned it, so it was in fairly good condition.

We submitted an application into a commercial property. Chris, was the agent at the time. During our interactions, we received delayed responses and unfortunately there was no transparency with how our application has progressed. It’s been 4 weeks since the date application was submitted in which we were advised there was nil other applications or interested parties (despite seeing a small business down the same street talk about moving into the property). When we advised Chris about this, he denied any other applications however advised us the next 2 days that there was another applicant who has been offered the property and therefore, no longer available. It was definitely a waste of time and would have appreciated honestly and transparency initially about our application rather than putting us on stand by.

Would not recommend working with this company as they present as time wasters who are more interested in keeping customers on side lines rather than value being honest to their customers. Please be cautious when working with this company.

One of the openly rudest people I’ve met during house inspections. Doesn’t appear to be honest. Held an inspection for God know how many people even though the place was under offer. Yet she did not communicate that. While inspecting another home she was sniggering behind the backs of a non white family viewing a townhouse.
