Katoomba Canton Palace reviews
50Upmarket Asian cuisine. Excellent food and good all-round experience. Minimum spend $30/p.p. Plenty of parking.
I’m no connoisseur but it’s the tastiest Chinese I remember eating.
Everyone’s nice. I feel like it should be rated higher.
Enjoyed a tasty take away. I can't complain about the food at all and very pleasant staff.
Overall decent food, a little bit expensive but pretty good.only criticism is that the Grandma's Tofu (Mapo Tofu) was excessively SWEET - I couldn't eat any of it, and my boyfriend struggled with it. When a staff member asked how we enjoyed our food, we were honest, and they became defensive.
This is a lovely restaurant with impeccably friendly service where we are always made to feel very welcome. The food here is consistently excellent, no exaggeration.
Tofu and eggplant dishes - although quite common - are cooked to perfection and are especially tasty.
The fried rice, while delicious, could be a little cheaper, especially for take away.
This is the place my family usually goes to celebrate special occasions and we are never disappointed.
This is one of the nicest places i have eaten chinese food. Fresh and tasty. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!
My family and I use to come to this restaurant alot as it was our favourite Chinese food in the blue mountains. Went back for the first in a while and there has been a massive change. The food was horrible and was very spicy. We had ordered 3 dishes and 1 beer. We got charged $108.
If we ordered this food anywhere else it would be $70. This restaurant is very expensive and have horrible food. The serving size has changed as well. The portions were tiny. I have never seen such small servings. Expensive and tiny serving.
All the food we ordered we could not eat. We had left our dishes full at the table. We did not eat the food. We left and got dinner from somewhere else.
DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.
Hey what happened to you's put price up but smaller meals don't do what everyone else is doing. My family have been whit yous for years no problems till now won't be back again shame on yous $98 dollars for a very small meal
Noodles and rice are good. Just feel that their dim sum is not as good.
However, for the location, the food they serve are fresh and taste Chinese enough.
Dined in on 05.12.22. We ordered combination Long Soup & Combination chow mien.
Long soup had a strange smoked taste to it, but was not burnt? Chow mien ingredients were very fresh, but taste was Bland, lack lustre & very small portion for $26. As they say, let your feet do the talking!
We stumbled across this place by accident and v hungry after leaving a previous place because we weren’t happy with our table, and it ended up being one of the tastiest Chinese food I’ve had in a long time! The duck pancakes were exceptional. Really friendly service too and were happy to squeeze us in so close to closing time
The entrees were not so good the calamari was like chewing gum and too much crumbs. The main was very tasty we had the combination with black bean sauce but it was quite small for the price.
This restaurant used to be a Blue Mountains institution. This is no longer the case. The prices are extortionate for the reduced portion sizes, which by the way used to be fair.
My mothers birthday was held on 1/10/22 with 8 adults and 4 children, for a lunch time booking. The meal was sub par, costing $60 a head. This would not be an issue if the serves were a fair main size.
The food quality is also going south. I am unsure as to why this has happened. This restaurant used to be the the pinnacle of old school Chinese food, at reasonable prices. I am embarrassed to say I will not be returning.
Canton staff are very welcoming, food is always to a very high standard. Great place for the whole family.
Paid $96 for a sub par mixed entree, lemon chicken which was undercooked and a braised brisket which was mainly soup stuff and lamb fat. Was extremely disappointed. Will not be returning
Shared a succulent Chinese Meal for dinner with my wife, lovely staff and tasty food, fried ice cream was delicious
I suspect they may use Mushrooms, Strawberries and Grapes or at least the CAPITAL letters only in their food. I suffer a reaction to this substance and hence my assumption. I could be wrong though. Apart from this possibility, the food tasted great!
Booked in (party of five) at short notice on Easter Sunday. Friendly service and very tasty food. Nice ambience - spacious, soft music. Would recommend.
Had without doubt, the best Chinese meal ever here tonight. The service was excellent, ambience perfect and the prices were very reasonable.
We ordered bbq pork with plum sauce and crispy skin chicken. Both were sublime. Added to perfectly cooked fried rice and you have the perfect meal.
The biggest surprise came when presented with the bill. We were charged $2 per head for tea. That is such great value.
We will definitely be back often as we only live 10 minutes away.
Great, friendly and attentive service. Every item ordered was presented well and delicious. Will definitely revisit whenever I'm in the area.
