Amazing custom work by Gus and the team! Perfect communication and service from day one, plus incredibly fast delivery. My design was quite heavily customised and involved installation of the drawer fridge, removal of third row seats from my Prado and installation of additional insulation to ensure I don't get any draughts, plus Kata team designed a really cool side table for my drawer which turned out to be a game changer when cooking. Oh and I also ordered one of their mattresses, which folds up neatly to the same size as the whole bed platform does allowing me to comfortably use the second row seats when travelling with family and friends. Love the work, the craftsmanship and the customer service. Recommend them to all my friends.

Just got my SLWB Hiace decked out with a Kata camper box, Guss and the team were super easy to deal with and i am stoked with how awesome a job they did and how quickly they did it. Super professional. I talked through with Guss exactly what i wanted and called him about 10 times during the week with miner changes i kept making. It didnt phase him at all he just happily when ahead and made it exactly how I had asked. Great bloke very easy to do with.

Kata Camperbox, what a team!
We were looking for someone to manufacture my personally designed storage box for our VW Multivan. The box had to quite precise as it was to work in conjunction with an already fitted kitchen/sleep module by another manufacturer. It had to maximise our storage room, hold our two battery power units and eliminate a not so clever support leg for the split bed extension.
I approached another 4x4 storage and draw slide company that make something similar to what I wanted and sell for between $350 to $450. They had my drawings and measurements, did an inspection themselves, then took three weeks to finally tell me it would cost $3200.
Yeh after I stopped laughing we went and spoke to Gus at Kata Camperbox. We had a quick chat, he took some measurements and two weeks later we had the exact box we wanted. Fitting took twenty minutes and the system works perfectly! Oh and all for much less then 1/3rd the other mobs quote!
Seriously people if you want one of the many pre designed systems or if you have a one off custom idea for your vehicle you will not find a more pleasant, helpful or quality fit out then Kata Camperbox!
I don't give Five star ratings very often because its rarely appropriate and most people probably wouldn't believe them but these guys deserve Five stars and possibly more.

I had an awesome experience at Kata. I initially approached Gus to help me to find a storage solution for my Suzuki GV 4WD after I had trouble finding an aftermarket drawer system. He was extremely enthusiastic about the project and eager to help me find a solution. He was open to my ideas and suggestions and put together a custom set of drawers that suits my purposes perfectly - down to the centimeter. The installation also went off without any issues. I'm delighted with my setup, and I'd recommend Kata to anyone who is looking for a drawer system, sleeping platform, van build or similar.

I bought a fitted out van last year that looked fantastic but the internal layout and storage turned out to be totally impractical so when I saw a friends van that had been fitted out by Kata I got van envy. Gus was exceptionally helpful and modified the surf box design to meet my needs. Highly recommend Gus and his team.

Gus and his team at Kata are the absolute best! I rocked up spontaneously with the request for a custom fit-out for my van. As I was traveling there was some time pressure, however they managed to squeeze me in between some other projects. Gus really thinks along with your needs ánd budget and he delivers high quality products (see pictures below). He kept me in the loop on the progress over Whatsapp and clearly communicated the timelines. Everything is designed and created on the spot so you can basically go as crazy as you want to take it!
