This review by GCphotovideo on FB. Kamay National Park is located adjacent to the NSW Golf club at historic Botany Bay, Sydney. This geographic area (Kurnell is on the other side of the bay) is where native Australians made first contact with French and British Europeans. Both National parks at Kurnell & Kamay are open for visitors. The LaPerouse area at Bear Island is filled with visitors and wedding couple photography sessions almost every day of the year. If the weather is good, be prepared for huge crowds, and huge delays getting in & out. Parking facilities are very limited at La Perouse. The national park itself is a stunning nature reserve flanked by the Tasman sea. You will sea beautiful birds, golf buggies, and dangerous snakes here as you traverse the walking tracks. The fort at Bear Island is where Mission Impossible 2 was filmed. Cafe's and restaurants at La Perouse are very busy, and very expensive!

Been coming here since I was a child, my happe place! Spectacular views and great place to fish, walk around or snorkel/scuba dive.
There are public toilets and plenty of parking. It does get very busy on the weekends so plan to go early.
A few eateries around to eat to or plenty of space for a picnic on the grass too

Beautiful walk from the visitors centre around the water to the steps back to the road. Good for a picnic/ bbq. Ample parking too.

Great spot for a day hike with family and friends and also for spotting dolphin and whales if you are there in migrating season. Sometimes it is quite windy out there so be mindful of that.

Went here for the first time. Well worth a visit, I'd have liked to stay a bit longer maybe bring a picnic. We will be back sometime.

Amazing place to chill. Park is kept immaculate NSW NPWS. Doesn't get crowded. Easy walking surface. Nearby Cape solander is equally beautiful. Must see once Carpark reopens, especially during whale watching season.

Don’t underestimate this unique and beautiful landscape, an easy walk to spectacular coastal views. It’s no wonder Captain Cook landed here first

Nice place but how ridiculous to have the Cape Solander carport closed on a public holiday weekend during whale watching season

Lockdown again. So took the fam for some "exercise " to Laperouse and into the national park as there was a chance of seeing whales as its the season for them to pass through the bay. Also son got to see the life rescue helicopter parked at the helipad.
What I loved was the old rubdown tunnel and concrete stations used as armoury shelters. They are abandoned graffiti clad scary things. So I got to tell my son that's were they take and lock up the kids who don't listen to the re parents and kids that also don't clean after themselves
My son has been behaving ever since that day. And he's toys don't stab bottom of my foot on a daily basis!

Great place for a stroll or grabbing a coffee. Walking path and ample doggy waste disposal spots. Plenty of cafes close by and public toilets. Well worth the visit.

There's a secret place I uploaded pictures of it, you just need to walk to the end through the rocks and you’ll find it ;)

Such a beautiful place to visit on the weekends. Quite secluded on the weekends - such a hidden gem! I think it'll get a lot more packed in the coming June-Oct seasons due to the whale watching but it was lovely strolling by the bay and enjoying the sunshine. Will come back to check out the caves some time! ️ There are a few cafes around the area (within 15min walk) but would definitely recommend calling them first to confirm they are open. One of the cafes closed an hour in advance so we were a little disappointed.

I ️ this place!

It’s hard to get to this spot by bus or train however it is doable!

We drove up to the National Park, FYI — you will need to pay to enter the area.

This National park is Absolutely amazing! So serene & peaceful ️ The views are breathtaking!

A perfect spot for walking, running, cycling, or even to have a picnic! But don’t swim! Looks a little dangerous.

There are also toilets, but you will need to find it as it is far away from the main area! And you might need to bring your own tissue papers and hand sanitisers hahaha.

A lovely place to visit. Drive through suburb of Kurnell. Contains Captain Cook's Landing Place. Walking paths & picnic spots for families. Great vistas. May see whales!

Great walk up to the lighthouse. Be prepared by bringing water and wearing comfy shoes as it can be a little rocky as the paved walkways starts and stops. Would be mindful bringing young children as there aren't any barriers and many steep cliffs however it's a very wide open area.

Stunning cliff walk. The story of the residents is so interesting. We were there for the sun set and the sky was so beautiful.

Amazing view similar to Royal national park but less crowded. The track is very nice and you can see Sydney CBD far. Loved this place.

Its a nice easy flat walk for people who like to enjoy the exercise without much ups and downs. Majority of the walk from the entrance to the lighthouse via the Cape Bailey track is elevated platform, some bits you'll just be walking on flat rock. Walk to lighthouse is a bit more tougher if you enter from the southern end where the sand dunes are.
