Convenient as near the station, and only shop on the north epping side. Prices arw however 30% to 40% higher then other shops near coles in Epping. Normally buyers are ignorant so business is reaping benefits.

Check the price for nanak ras malai for instance, price in this shop would be 22 to 23, the same day price at other shops would be around 18 or 19.

I bought golgappas today and was charged 9.99 for something sales at 7.99 in other shops. Be vigil.

The quality of products in this place has gone down over here. Bought some chicken from here last week and was of extremely poor quality and had to throw it off. Anyone planning to buy their stale chicken be careful.

A must visit for all Indian grocery needs, and definitely the best place for South Indian requirements. Staff are really helpful too.

Onam Sadhya food is super delicious and yummy. Felt the authentic kerala style and really enjoyed eating it. Worth having it and thank you to everyone who made it special.

I ordered onam sadhya and after repeatedly trying to get hold of them through phone and personal visit, they said the sadhya can't be delivered because of insufficient supply. What is unprofessional is not that they ran out of supply (which is something that can happen), but the fact that they didn't even have the courtesy to call and inform even after I personally visited. I got to know I won't get my sadhya on onam day (and that too I had to call them for follow up) and now it's too late to order from some place else. Horrible experience.

Extremely poor service, placed an order on Thursday, promised it will be delivered by Friday, didn’t come. No one answers the call at the given numbers. Received messages late night that it will delivered Saturday morning, again same story. Then I receive a message on Monday morning that the amount was refunded and so the order has been cancelled of which, I don’t have any notification from my bank. There was absolutely no communication on entire Saturday and Sunday.
And the reason they gave me for not delivering on time is that their supplier did the same to them and there are no specific reasons for not answering calls, may be that’s their usual.
This was my first time ordering with Kalavara and I will make sure I never shop with them again.

Thanks for the onam sadya. It was delivered on time yesterday (8: 30pm). Food was very good though some items were spicy. Both payasams were great. Keep up the good work!

Ordered Onam Sadhya for 2. Best most delicious food. So much quantity with very high quality.
Due to overwhelming orders, it.got a bit delayed but the owner delivered at home free of cost with a pleasant smile! No compromise on quality! Loved it!

Be careful when u place online orders with this shop. They haven't delivered my orders and keep on giving excuses. Twice i waited for the groceries to arrive till 9.30 pm but the order didn't arrive. When I called them the third time to enquire about the delivery, they hung up the phone. Poor customer experience. I'm trying to get refund now

Dear Kalavara owner, I've no issues with delays due to lockdown as long as you inform the customer. The onam sadya was meant for 20th Aug. You should have clearly informed you cannot deliver on this date. The lady who picked up the call said the order is the on the way.
When I called again, she said she will check with the driver and call back.but she never called back.
My family and I waited till 9.30 pm before having our dinner. It was bad enough to not inform a customer who was waiting on food and, even worse hanging up the phone when enquiring the same. Lockdown is no excuse for terrible customer service.

Ideal place to shop for Indian groceries, snacks, sweets specially the gulab jamuns. Goat meat and chicken available. Mumbai style pavs sold but get over quickly. Kerala cuisine available during Onam festival. Friendly owners and staff. Located close to Epping station on Oxford St.

Most Indian/SriLankan groceries are available, displayed well and the staff/owners are happy to help. I would visit again. Had to park further down as it can be busy at certain times

The owner Neera is wonderful & provides INCREDIBLE customer service. This is my go to store for authentic & DELICIOUS spices, snacks, hot & cold drinks! Everything is reasonably priced & made even better by the in store experience. I 100% recommend visiting if you like Indian cuisine, like to cook, or want to try some new foods/drinks! I am very excited to continue to buy from Kalavara & continue to explore their amazing variety of options

Very convenient, near by to train/metro station, friendly staffs, everything on need is available for daily & for urgent basis, more than any other indian store. They have good offers/discounts usually. Masala chai, Gulab Jamoon, samosa etc are very good

Nice Indian grocery store where you can get all your sub continent condiments. The staff are very helpful. The packed biriyani served there is very authentic and tasteful.

I am very happy with the quality of products kalavara offers. Very friendly staff, Divya, Smitha a few names to mention and they are easy to reach out. Best place in Sydney to shop for Kerala products.

This store is amazing with excellent customer service and also good quality products or items. Divya made sure that the orders' delivery was done smoothly and checked everything is alright. It was a lovely gesture and it is not certainly something that I get from other stores. So Kalavara store will always be one of my go-to places hereafter.
