Awesome family run winery with fantastic wines. Really lovely ambience and design. We had fantastic service with Beth who explained the history behind all of the wines we were tasting. They were all delicious and we left with a new type of wine to try at home. Thank you!

Stunning experience at John Wallace Wines. Thank you to Beth for making our winery visit one of the best we had on the trip! One of the newer establishments in the Hunter, with a modern yet homely feel. Each wine name has a story and is accompanied by a complimentary cheese boat and compulsory belly rubs of Tilly the gorgeous golden lab. Looking forward to our next visit already!

Had the most amazing time at John Wallace Wines. Matt, our host was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. The outlook is simply beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our cheese and wine experience. Honestly every wine was delicious. We are now members and can’t wait to bring our family back to enjoy a tasting in the gorgeous surroundings of the Hunter Valley.

A real gem in the Hunter. Absolutely stunning Sparkling Rosè. My favourite ever. Matt is so friendly at the cellar door and Richard is a great chat for the whole wine making process. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful setting and a lovely place to visit with my friend Jay I loved the juju red and the sparkling rose' Although I'm wishing now that I also bought the Chardonnay! I'll be sure to return again soon.

My name is Karen I am a local tour operator called skippy down under tours. As a leading tour industry provider I am always on the lookout for a winery that stands out amongst the rest. One that offers personalised service, premuim wines. A warm comfortable relaxed setting. When I discovered this new winery John Wallace which is under new management I was impressed and excited on what this winery had to offer. You feel right at home when entering this cellar door, there is many areas where you can undertake a tasting such as outside sipping your wine amongst the outdoor fire, upstairs inside in the elegant tasting room or a bar stool setting with a personalised insightful tasting that the owners tell you about their journey into winemaking and the generational history.
My guests were given a bit size cheese platter with their wines which was perfect with their mix of wines!
As a tour operator I ask my customers at the end of the day which winery was the best that they explored. Hands down John Wallace wines was the top mention which offered a Star service each time. A recommended boutique winery and you may even get a greet at the door by the owners dog. Scenic setting views and a homestead winery that makes you feel right at home.

Wow a little gem in the Hunter, such great wines and service. The cellar door is such s pretty place!
