John Laham

I have nothing but positive things to say about John he is an absolute artist and a professional. It was such a pleasure to have him capture a very special moment and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He has an eye for some incredible shots but is also very happy and cooperative to work with you and any visions you may have. He genuinely embraces the emotions of the event and is personally happy for the people that he is photographing.

We had our family photos taken by John and he was very accommodating, friendly and patient with our requests as we had a lot of family members. I would definitely recommend him to anyone for any event. We are very happy with his service and the photos are perfect!

John Laham was our wedding photographer in January 2022, attending our wedding ceremony, photos in the bushland and on the beach in northern Sydney, then our reception. John has an innate ability to put people at ease and make them laugh, and caught some superb images of the wedding party and guests. John is quick at catching the moment, so does not interrupt the natural flow of the day. He assisted in making the day lots of fun! John Laham… where do I start? Best candid photos I’ve ever seen? Best artistic touch to every image? Maybe his little jokes, which just take all the stress away? Or instead it should be the story of a group of new friends finding my wedding album last week. Showing it to a new person is always quite an experience for me, because I’m an introvert, who cannot pose for the photos, yet on those pictures I look like a movie star. It’s almost embarrassing hearing yet another bunch of people going “wow” at every page, or OMG how did he do that? Or bursting with laughter at something funny or unexpected - captured fleeting moments which some people wouldn’t even notice, but John did:). And despite of all of those ‘wow’ moments for others, for me every single time it’s the warm flashback of all the strong emotions of my wedding day, captured in images that I don’t think anyone can take as well as John Laham.

We had John join us for our wedding day and are in love with every photo he took. If you want a great photographer who feels like one of the guests then he's your man.

Not only did I experience my dream wedding but I am now able to look back on the perfect day. Could not recommend anyone better. John was amazing!

We loved having John as our wedding photographer. He is incredibly talented and has an uncanny skill to capture all the magic and special moments of the day. His photos all had a sense of warmth and energy to them and we are so incredibly happy with the result. One thing we didn't expect was just how much John becomes part of the day. He is such a warm and friendly person who is hilarious. His presence legitimately made our day that much more special and we are so grateful we were able to have him be part of it. John Laham was an absolute pleasure to work with. His photography and signature art are amazing, as well as the professionalism and speed at which he can work. He was able to capture all the emotions and special moments of the day unobtrusively, and to get most of our bridal party shoot done in 10 minutes - especially handy on a 45 degree hot summer's day in a park. He also assisted greatly with the curating of our wedding photo album, something which would have taken a long time for us newbies. Very highly recommend.

While we wanted some photo's to be 'staged' we also wanted to capture the importance of day, the events, the people, the atmosphere, the location and the emotion.

John Laham is an amazing photographer, with a lot of experience but also someone who is honest, kind-hearted, upfront, knowledgeable and pleasing to be around.

From a professional perspective he was someone who impressed us with his pitch when choosing photographers that we decided on the day of meeting him that we would go ahead and choose him.

On the day of the wedding, he was both discrete but also active. He took a lot of photos on our day, never missing any important moment.

Afterwards, he involved us in the selection process of the album. The turnover was relatively quick which was also a big plus. We're very pleased with his services and would recommend to friends and family.

John was a part of our family on our special day, he made us laugh and was just amazing #amazing! He was so down to earth and also professional. Just today I spent the day with him organising the album and it was so fun! He makes a mean creme brûlée yum and and even tastier coffee. John is a man of extraordinary talent, kindness and caring. It was such a pleasure to work with John throughout the wedding planning process. He went above and beyond in the lead up to the wedding to make us feel cared for and special, and we knew we were in good hands.
