A rare 350 million year old cave system. Great limestone stalactites and stalagmites formations

Amazing! Such a fantastic experience. We took the kids on the 2hr walk (9-12) and they loved it.

The queen's diamonds is the featured thing on the imperial side of the caves.a must visit for all the tourists who come to Australia.

Well… there are various factors for this review.
The place amazing, huge cave, never been inside a massive entrance, just wow. But, the tour itself is not worth the money nor the 3 hours and a half of a drive from Sydney!

The tour guide was pretty nice, couldn’t understand as much but still great. Still not worth the money, he did have a lot of knowledge but it was very short of a tour for the $60+ dollars.

Wouldn’t go back if I’m being honest and would not recommend.

Amazing as always. Hadn't been for a few years due to fires and floods, but the caves never fail to disappoint. The staff are doing a wonderful job dealing with the road situation, and while it's a little weird to have less people milling around, it's rather special to feel like you almost have the place to yourself. Definitely allow extra time to get there. Have a coffee or hot meal if you need to fill in some time.

We loved this adventure. After the floods and fires this place has copped a lot of heart ache. But inspite of that yhe staff were so helpful and friendly, very upbeat. The guides extremely knowledgeable.

You get escorted down the road which is very steep and even with an escort people have had motor vehicle accidents, please drive carefully and safely.

Definitely pre book your tour, it would be shame to drive so far and miss out on seeing the caves.

Had a wonderful guide called Ian who was informative and funny. We visited the Chifley cave which had some steps to traverse but was generally easy to navigate.

Caves are beautiful specially Orient and Dimond but my visit was ruined by extremly rude staff behaviour not willing to help bad attitude. Staff working in gift shop and reception specially Michael extremely rude behaviour. Instead of helping to solve the problem, i have to deal with their attitude. I hope you would be nice with other visitor please be nice with visitor who came to see these beautiful caves, otherewish you would be treated the same way you treated me with 2 kids don't ruined their holiday with your bad behaviour.

This is my absolute happy place. No mobile reception. Accomodation is awesome. Cave tours are incredible. I would suggest spending a weekend here if possible to get through all the caves.

I have visited various caves and seen natural beauty inside. If I need to grade among them I will say one of the best I ever visited. I have seen various cave in Nepal, India, Bhutan and Malaysia but Australia Jenolan cave is the best.
You can't visit yourself book according to your physical ability and if going with kids visit easier one.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Jenolan Caves. It had been 35 years since my last visit, and while the stalactites and stalagmites have only grown a small amount, the experience of seeing them has grown immensely. Our guide, Scottie, made a wonderful experience even better. He was very knowledgeable about the caves, passionate about their preservation and entertaining in his delivery. He engaged all of the children and the adults with his excellent sense of humour and the interesting information he presented. The Jenolan Caves experience is highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit and would recommend to anyone and everyone! Each cave is so different in it's own beautiful way and nothing short of amazing. The tour guides are friendly and know their stuff, and the guide Lochlan really takes the experience to the next level if you're lucky enough to end up with him! Not from the area but will definitely be back in the near future to finish checking out each and every cave on their list when back opened!

Scott was an amazing tour guide offering a perfect combination of knowledge, humour and jokes. My group on the day was diverse in age and Scott resonated with all! He was thrown some interesting questions he answered with amazingly detailed and interesting responses - the hour went so fast! If you get Scott as your guide you are in for a great time.

The Jenolan Caves is an interesting experience. I was there 30 years ago, and again today 31/05/2021. Today there is only one road, Edith Road, via Oberon, which provides access to the Jenolan Caves. It is a beautiful drive but quite a bit longer for those coming from Sydney. Please exercise extreme caution on the last bit of the road into the parking area, as the road is very narrow & has a couple of hair pin bends. It's absolutely doable but caution is definitely required.
Not all of the caves are open, and some are expected to remain closed for some time yet. We booked for the Cheffley cave, which was too much of a challenge for anyone who is mobility challenged. If anyone does have difficulty walking long distances and/or climbing stairs I recommend you speak to a staff member before booking your ticket online.
The gift shop & cafes on site are welcoming & homely.
I do recommend a visit.

A must do if you visit the region! We visitied the Baal cave, and what a beauty! Absolutely worth it! The company that run the place had to be shut down due to bad weather and the whole covid going on, so I'm sure they will appreciate the return of visitors. Tanya was our guide ans she was full of info about the cave.

Each cave has its own distinctive vista. The gleaming surface of the rocks appears to be a fantasy. It seemed a little boring while the weather was dry, but that's just when drought strikes. There are different levels of caves to try. The cave is usually warm in the winter and cool in the summer!

Toured through the Chifley cave today. Great cave, lots to see, our guide was fantastic.

Lunch at the Cafe, good options and reasonably priced.

Only a limited number of caves available at the moment due to recent fires, floods and covid. But great to see things slowly reopening and glad to be able to support Jenolan after such a tough time.

Absolutely magnificent! No photo could do it justice. If you are thinking of booking the last tour session (4.30pm) during winter, please bear in mind by the time the tour finishes, you'll be navigating those sharp turns in pitch black. There's only one way out via Edith road, it'll require a confident and experienced driver.

My local friend recommended Lucas cave among other caves, and I love LUCAS CAVE! Amazing scenery and our tour guide was really informative in regards of history of the caves, and very nice. We met a wallaby at the end of the tour! Never disappointed
