JB Hi-Fi Brookvale reviews
65Great products at best prices but terrible service. Impossible to find staff to assist with product knowledge
Today is the 2nd time I have been to this store when no staff offered us assistance even whilst we had been looking at the record players for a long period of time. All hanging at the counter next to the area we were in chatting to each other. Unless you want apple products they won't bother to help you.
Terrible customer service. Spent almost 20 minutes on the counter trying to pre-order a game back in July as the staff member was having difficulties to redeem my birthday voucher, finally being told to keep the receipt "just in case" I had problems when collecting the product I had paid in full. When I collected the game, I had to pay its full price again due to a *problem* in their system, despite having kept that pre-order receipt in my wallet for almost 2 months.
If you are a serious videogame collector, never buy "new" games at JB - not only they will remove the shrink wrap for some reason, they also sticky tape receipts and bonus items to the box, which obviously causes damage and reduces value.edit
Two of the staff members even argued that they only charged $10 as it would be impossible to charge full price on a pre-order. Well, how come I just pre-ordered MGS Master Collection paying its $89 full price if the game will only be released on October 24th? Of course I have purchased it at a different JB Hi-Fi store this time. Don't waste your time at Brookvale.
James out the back was a lovely bloke who helped me pack my brand new Tele in my car. Lovely service and great price!
Apple products cheaper at Apple, and even cheaper elsewhere online (even AU online stores).
Fair range of products although some of the better brands are missing, eg: Anker.
Store service is often conceited, eg: my most recent purchase 12pm 02/09/18 - I spent over $300 on three small expensive items; the sales lad was nice enough to start.until he'd got me to the cash register queue, at which point he spun on his heel & walked off, without so much as a 'OK, I'll leave you here, unless there's anything else you need, thank you' or 'see you next time'. As I watched his receding back, I was left to work it out, that he'd abruptly lost interest and I no longer existed. The message was clear: he was only interested in my custom up to the point where he figured he was entitled to claim a commission on my purchase. If only I could've refuted that at the counter.
Not good enough JB Hi-Fi.
JB hi Fi don't sell RCA leads apparently because they've "downgraded their music section and maybe I should go to mall music" he says. I wonder if the kids that work there even know what hi fi is without googling it.
Maybe reflect on the name of your business and think about changing it.
I gave 2 stars, one star for each second the kid spent trying to help me
Great customer service from Chris. Definitely knows his stuff, helped me with multiple products from different categories. Highly recommended
Update: JB have agreed to honour the sale price and very appreciative of their ethical response. "Feel ripped off that the new TV I bought 2 days ago is now, 2 days later - $150 less without a heads up that the product would be on sale later in the week. "
Great range of products, but the product I was after was incorrectly priced. It was also locked up and it is difficult to flag down a team member. When I did, team member went to get a key and returned about 10 minutes later to say he couldn't find one and would have to wait for another team member. I find they are often short-staffed. However, team are courteous and knowledgeable.
They generally have good prices and can be handy for gift ideas.
No service even after the person at the front went to get someone to help me. Went to Harvey Norman's instead.
If you're looking for electronics, televisions, computers, accessories, it's hard to beat JB HiFi!
The two sales persons who provided us the information about the different types of power banks were needed were helpful and patient in explaining about the different features of the products were were looking at. Their input enabled us to make an informed decision on purchasing the product that is most suited to our needs. We are very happy with the product we bought.
Excellent service and product range, they are also are brilliant with returns, highly recommended store 10/10
Poor customer experience. They have big banners at the store claiming for 1 hour click and collect and they let me waiting at the store for almost 2 hours without bothering on check what was wrong with my order, until I finally got a call from the central saying they couldn't find the item and they asked me to cancel, saying they were unable to. So, 1 more hour waiting in the slowest chat queue ever.
Staff super busy and run off their feet. Could do with more staff. Still friendly and helpful though.
No help "stuff is over there somewhere". No advice, just open random packets to find what I want and still couldn't.
I want to cut the memory of my visit from my brain with an angle grinder.
Felt very comfortable while shopping. Addison was very helpful and informative. As soon as I entered I someone helped me and engaged Addison with me to help me out. I believe she was the manager. Very helpful team.
Your typical JB hifi, it is quite big and lots of stuff everywhere, great staff and usually have good sales.don't go in there drunk though you'll end up in an argument with your wife for buying "things we don't need"
I've had consistently positive interactions with staff here; practically every one of them seem to know and like what they're doing. The prices are okay, not a cut above every other store, but there is the secret advantage of being able to ask if they can do a better price than marked. It can feel a little awkward to do that, and may not work every time, or by a lot, but more often than not you really can save a few bucks this way, and that's pretty neat.
I'm not giving 5 stars because visiting here is a life-changing experience, but comparatively there isn't a whole lot I could ask for. Clean, wide variety of items, decent comparative prices (and slightly malleable!) with no complaints to make. Oorah.
Thanks to the guys at Warringah mall that went out of their way to find me a charging cable that worked on my phone. My phone was not charging and they went out of their way and tried a number of cable and charger combinations untill they found one that worked. Saved me hundreds of dollars on a new phone
