Jax tyres are very friendly. They have good deals on their tyres and their office is nice and clean with chairs, a Table and even a coffee machine with cups and ingredients for the customers that are waiting for their car to be serviced.

Had a flat tyre on my ride on lawnmower. These guys pumped it up and checked for leaks. Luckily there was no leak and it had only come off the bead and then reseated itself. I wasn’t able to be there on time to pick it up before they closed so they left it with the servo next door.

Was helping my brother-in-law (long time customer) get his tyre and rim fixed and found all the staff were very helpful, no problems at all. Great business in Terania St, North Lismore.

JUST DONT! Over charge, under prepared and blame the customer.

Settle in gentle reader for a tale both grim and shocking (it funny because shock absorbers were involved- well i find myself funny).

Soooo I went in orginially to get vehicle up to date for rego;

Part A) : Company did assessments, did list of repairs needed got the go ahead to order parts and I never heard back. THEN FLOOD.after they reopened I tried 4 times to book in (fair enough, a lot of need for mechanics post flood) finally get in and confirm that they have the list of repairs and confirm that they have ordered parts and parts would arrive by time of the service.
OUTCOME- ALL GOOD.

Part B) : Parts hadn't arrived before service, but they installed what they had and booked again. OUTCOME- UNDERSTANDABLE given the circumstances.

Part C) : They have the part, but don't have the tools to fit part.also haven't done any of the other repairs listed on the assessment because "didnt know we had to/why didnt you tell us again? ". I outline that YES I would like them to complete the repairs that we have already agreed upon and have a quote for.
OUTCOME- FRUSTRATED

Part D) : Final part fitted, BUT cant do 'electrics' and "some one has already taken everything apart inside- "who did you get to do it? " pointed out that was done by the service at first visit, staff identify "I dont believe that", then check the computer and discover it was true, NO apology, no assistance with referral and simply told to find an Auto electrican to 'fix it'
OUTCOME- PRETTY ANNOYED

Part E) : Take it to an Auto electrician that points out that ANY mechanic can do the repair needed.

WITHOUT full compliment of repairs on the original quote, I have already been charged approx $300 over the quote- all labour: "It would have been less if we could have done everything at once.

They are either REALLY sly and using this as a way of jacking up their prices, or are auditioning for a modern version of Benny Hill

Jax Lismore is the place to go for tyres, mechanical work or advice related to these. Best prices in Lismore. I wrote this way before the catastrophic flood of Feb 22. Even now, post flood it is still applicable.

Lismore Jax are the very best tyre sellers in the region. Service, price, and experience are great. They will go out of their way to help.

Scott & Jeff are so helpful at Jax in Lismore, they provide great service and are ready to help at the drop of a hat.

Went to tyre power and got a tyre fitted straight away after Jax said there would be a 2 hour wait.

Friendly and efficient service at this outlet.
The only downside for me was the lack of available options to be comfortable while I waited for the work to be carried out. My walking ability is restricted, limiting my ability to locate a suitable spot to wait. Covid regulations aside, this outlet could make a better effort to either provide options like a ride into town, or at least give customers prior notice of what to expect.

Always excellent friendly service and quality work And very competitive prices I highly recommend for all tyre brakes and services.
