JAX Tyres & Auto Blacktown

I was given a quote for new brakes and rotors then booked in my vehicle to have the work done. Hours later i received a phone call advising they would need to send the parts from Victoria and wanted another $180 for delivery. When i complained that this was an accepted quote with a deposit paid already, they advised they would call me back. When they called back they said they could not get the parts anywhere in Australia and needed to refund my deposit. Disgusting way of doing business, they will never get another dollar from me.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Karen the team and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I am delighted to share my positive feedback and highly recommend this tyre workshop to anyone in need of exceptional service for their vehicles.

Always puts ppl on hold over the phone and doesn't answer. Called them three times and got same answer, hold the line.

The gentlemen that I spoke to was very helpful. We needed some new tyres and wheels put on and sensors changed from the old tyres. Then I spoke with Karen who was just lovely.

Went to fill up the tyre with nitrogen. My experience there was great during my first visit. However, recently I called them to get a quote for 2 Pirelli run flat tyres (size 275/40 R20). The guy who answered my call informed me that this tyre is not available in Australia and I wouldn’t be able to get it anywhere and also offered me same tyre size from other brands. However, when I called few other tyre shops, 3 of them gave me the quotes and one of them had the tyre changed the next day (meaning they didn’t import it from Italy). Anyways, giving 3 start for misinformation or else it would have been a 5 star.

Very professional service though sometimes pushing customers to buy batteries or replace bits & pieces for sake of business is really not appealing to give them 5 stars

How about making people wait an hour then telling them to come back later on after waited an hour.
Unless you have a day to sit around and wait don't waste your time don't even know how this business is still running.

Today I had to take the wife's car to have new tyres fitted for registration, the staff were extremely helpful, in fact the manageress, Karen completed the process online for me, saving me the trouble of attending the RMS office and waiting in line. If you need tyres or any service done on your vehicle, please give them a ring and speak to them.

Best service in Blacktown have been using Jax for well over 10 years cannot ever fault them

Karen, Shane and their team are fantastic and are always accomodating and efficient. I dont shop around I trust them to always give me a good deal and the best tyres for my vehicles.

Friendly staff and helpful in looking for the hest deal they can offer on a full set of new Tues.

Sales persons big lyres I dealt with guy then when I came to pay the other lady destroyed everything and took from the whole amount without any discount be careful from them

I have been here 3 times now and each time has been a pleasant experience. Great communication and front of house team is extremely approachable and welcoming.

Very unhappy - always get a second opinion.

I was experiencing strong vibration from the wheels of my X-Trail.

Took it to Jax for a diagnostic and was provided with a quote which included; control arms, RV, drive shaft etc for $1650.

I didn't think the problem seemed this severe, but had no way to diagnose myself so trusted the assessment.

I later took my X-Trail in to process the repairs and was told that they would need to keep it over night.

The next day I was called to add additional parts to the bill at further cost, I thought that if they were replacing one side, it might be worth replacing the other side at the same time, so agreed to the additional costs.

In the afternoon, I hadn't heard anything so called and was advised that I could pick it up, but they had forgotten to call me.

They were closing when I arrived and closed the door behind me, leaving me with an invoice now over $2000.

When I saw my car, it was missing a hub cap, but the store was now closed so I couldn't ask if they had it, so got in the car to leave.

Instantly I could feel that the steering felt worse and I hadn't even left the car park. I went to the door but no one was there so thought that I could call the next day.

Driving down the road, the vibration was now significantly worse and unbearably loud.

Along with this, smoke started to rise out of the engine bay, so I pulled over to check. Oil had been spilled all over the exhaust and was smoking violently.

I took the X-Trail home and called the store the next day.

I spoke to the head mechanic and asked if anyone had tested it after the repairs. The head mechanic advised that it had not been tested and no one noticed any problems after the repairs, and that they just replaced what was written on the paper.

This seemed very dodgy and I asked to bring it back for them to test.

The head mechanic called me after driving it and advised that it felt terrible, like the steering was full of gravel and told me that they would check it again.

I received another call later from the head mechanic advising that the wheel bearing was completely destroyed. (I am not sure how this wasn't noticed as it is always the first point to check for steering vibration and I was under the impression that both had been replaced).

I asked about it and the head mechanic advised that they only replaced one side wheel bearing and provided me with a quote for even more money.

Now costing well over $2500, I was able to pick my car up and it seemed better although had a drone noise in the steering, but the mechanic advised that he wasn't sure what that was from and didn't know how to fix it.

Now a couple of months after the repairs were completed the wheel bearing is screaming like it has no grease.

I am very unhappy with the service and quality provided by Jax and extremely unhappy with the cost. I strongly believe that the only repair needed was a cheap wheel bearing and that all the other items were fraudulently added for revenue, but as I didn't get a second opinion and didn't have diagnostic tools, I am out over $2500 with no resolution. I had to buy a new hub cap, I had to clean oil out of my engine bay and exhaust and now I will have to get the work checked again.

The only thing that I was happy about was that the Customer service officers were friendly and efficient.

My lesson is to always get a second opinion and avoid Jax.

Best service’s and prices within the area flexible for your schedule and very accommodating to price for affordability range to extend to better quality and Brands.

I visited JAX in Blacktown yesterday. Nick was super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The lady on reception yesterday was very lovley also.

Definitely recommend if you want someone you trust completely.
