JAX Spinning Wheel Tyres Waterloo

Asked for a service and to check out an oil leak. They charged me nearly $400 for the service and told me they couldn’t look at the oil leak because the whole engine would have to be taken out and cleaned and they didn’t have the tools (so no guarantee the new oil from the service wasn’t going to just leak back out I guess). That honestly didn’t sound right but there had been a mix up and they had my phone number wrong and I had been busy with work so I didn’t want to pick a fight or inconvenience them any further so I just asked them if it was okay to drive in the meantime and they recommended I “get it checked out ASAP”.

That’s what I was hoping they would do but they said they didn’t have the right tools so I took it at face value and went to a different mechanic.

At the other mechanic turns out “the right tools” were a hoist and some degreaser. Took them an hour to figure out there was a loose bolt on the steering rack that was put in last year and the leak was actually power steering fluid, just needed to tighten the bolt.

Maybe JAX is great for tyres and a basic service but I won’t be going back to find out, sorry.

My registration has expired yesterday. They told me to do a blue slip instead of a pink slip registration. For what?
That blue slip is for a registration that has expired for more than 3 months. They just don't want to serve me because I'm Asian. It's terrible. I came here because my friends said it was good ‘Definitely not this branch’. I won’t go here again. And if you’re Asian don’t go! They won’t welcome you.

The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the whole process of buying new tyres easy, tyre price and service was great, will be back again with my other cars.

Was greeted by a lovely lady named Priya who was so helpful, friendly and cheerful. Then a very help and friendly man named Moses fixed our tyre. So efficient and and we were just amazed at how cheery and polite this team was.

Got a screw in my tyre leaving work at 3: 30pm, Jax fit me in for a quick repair, the guys here pulled it out, patched it up, checked all the other tyres, made sure everything was all good & I was back on the road by 5pm, great clean workshop & the price was very reasonable, highly recommend.
