ivy ballroom reviews
25One of the most sought after places for corporate functions and maybe your offsite meeting. Merivale always makes sure that their services are top notch and IVY precinct is their flagship.
Went for ABC Bullions precious metals event and the space was massive! Could easily fit 200 people. The covered balcony just off to the side just rou ded everything out as well, allowing for airflow to the inside or for people to step outside for a bit of fresh air.
Lovely large ballroom right in the heart of the city.
The food and service were good.
Lovely place. Always fun to spectate or participate in when the wedding turns into a free for all brawl
Over rated venue, there RSA table waitress was limiting drinks and no sign of intoxication, they need to have better judgement and also keep customers happy especially on a wedding
Attended a wedding breakfast reception Saturday night third of August. Upon arrival, a glass of chilled Champagne. At the table, an array of white flora beauty centred up high, and surrounded by Middle Eastern nibbles and beverages. The three course dinner was an alternate drop.
Our Wait Staff person Laura, was most accommodating, and proficient indeed. Laura rocks!
Overall, a fantabulous evening
I had an awful time and the staff was disrespectful. Drinks are overpriced and I did not feel like a valued customer. Avoid at all costs.
Great venue - really good food and service - I don't know the prices but overall was a sensational night
I'd had a chance to over think what I'd written. I realised I really bagged this place. I sorry I just had an issue with stairs. Stairs to get up from street level.more stairs to the venue room at hen stairs down to restroom and stairs back to the venue. I think I was really miffed that people have no sense of occasion. A ball means a Suit.or a Tux if its formal. I sweated my arse off on the dance floor but also waiting for the air-con to sweep over me. Us oldies need less an obstacle course to get to a dunny.for young-uns a great venue. I was most disappointed that no one has any dance craft. I can't show off my lady while some side to side wobble stands in my way. It's not the womans fault. It's the mans.hes deliriously ignorant of the protocols on a dance floor. No wonder short swords we banned in the middle ages. Well it's time for my seniors nap.
Huge venue. Multiple floors, felt lost at some points. Pool upstairs but I can never see myself brining my bathing suit and towel to this busy of a club. Biggest club I've ever been to.
Had my daughter's wedding here in October and found this place the best venue ever. The room is excellent. The service was exceptional. The food was amazing and the organising staff were very friendly and accommodating. All guests spoke very highly of the quality of everything they experienced. The balcony was a favourite to have a quiet chat, a drink and a smoke.
Unforgettable experience. Thank you so much to everyone.
We had a superannuation luncheon and the meal was great. There were about 150 to 200 guest and the room was decked out beautifully.
Very nice place to hold business or social functions. The chefs make really nice vegan foods. Good variety of drinks too.
Average. Overstated. Come here if you're a desperate banker looking to take advantage of teenaged girls or if you are the latter in reverse.
Great place for a large gathering such as conferences, seminars, gatherings, weddings and other large social or professional meet ups
Food was okay but they need to shake up their varieties. Went here for my company's Christmas party. For my entree and main I had nothing but small portions of fish. Drinks shouldn't just be limited to wine, beer, water and OJ. Was a bit disappointed when staff told me they don't serve hard liquor. I mean it's the Ivy!
A well presented place in the heart of Sydney a real buzz for our Christmas function. Plus we had an awesomely organised event.
This is Sydney's biggest night club. Favourite destination for all those party poppers out in the Friday night.
Brilliant spot for large events. Been here a number of times and I'd definetly host a large event here again.
