I recently attended ITP for a simple tax return. I booked online with an accountant named Ervin Schulcz. I had a bad feeling about this place when I entered and I was greeted by a rude awkward man in the reception area who just stared at me for a few seconds like I was the first customer to ever enter the door. After telling the man I had a booking he stared at me a little longer and then just said ‘’ok’’. I was extremely confused if this man even worked here and only after asking again if the accountant was ready for me to go into the office I was surprised to find out that this man was actually Ervin the accountant I was booked in with.

We finally sat down in the office and I gathered my documents and records anticipating the usual quick and efficient tax return. What I witnessed in the next 2 hours was total incompetence to the point where I thought I was on one of those hidden camera shows. Ervin made strange and rude comments about my business and income. He commented on personal inomation like saying he assumes I can’t afford health insurance. When it came to calculating my deductions he got out his EFT machine and was trying to use it as a calculator. It took him about 30 seconds to relise he was using a device for transferring money not a device for calculating numbers and mathematical formulas. He made various incorrect statements about the business even after I corrected him several times. He would say the business is running at a loss when it is clearly 10’s of thousands in profit. My 5 year old child could work out this simple subtraction.

After slowly getting through half the tax return Ervin sat for a few minutes looking confused again. He turned to me and said I’m not sure what to do in this bit and asked if I knew. He turned the computer around and said ‘’does this look right to you’’? I was lost for words that the accountant I was paying $250 for was asking if I could help him on the next section of the tax return. After I looked through his workings on the screen I was able to give him advise on what I thought was required for the next section of the return to be completed. He fumbled his way to the end and just as I thought the nightmare was over he said that doesn’t seem right. Ervin proceeded to go back and forth through the simple tax return in a confused manner starting sections over and shaking his head.

Eventually we got to the end again and he said with no confidence ‘‘I think that should be right’’, “I hope that is right”?
Great, just what every customer wants to hear from their Income Tax Professional.

When I got home I wasn’t surprised at all to notice that he had written both my home address and email Incorrectly on the documents.

I strongly advise any potential customers reading this that you stay far away from this business. I wasted my money, but if anything I can make others aware of the incompetence, rudeness and absolute ridiculous service I was given.

Ervin is a professional, through and polite. We've been going to him for years and will continue to go. We're not straight forward customers but he explains everything we need to know. Highly recommend
