No communication internally and the only people left out in the COLD (literally) are the customers with a faulty, unusable fireplace.
Please buyers BEWARE! After a considerable amount of wasted personal time, Fair Trading had to sought the common sense resolve.
Overall disappointed. I think these guys are well intentioned but the execution, planning and co-ordination is lacking. We bought a Lopi gas logfire fireplace on 23 April Indoor Fireplace Factory @ Warners Bay and it was meant to be delivered and installed 5 weeks later through Designer Fireplaces. There was issues with the fireplace arriving at the warehouse damaged, which required a new one, then plumber not installing fireplace to the right height and begrudgingly returning to fix, front door not being delivered at all, and then having on backorder, and so on before we finally got things in and done. We really felt that the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing and it ended up being 12.5 weeks from order to final install. We are actually quite happy with the fireplace in the end and glad to have it in for the back end of Winter. Trevor was helpful but seemed constrained those around him.
Company used to trade as indoor lounge and outdoor furniture, in addition to fireplaces. The owner does not issue a warranty for product just a receipt that means nothing.
Purchased a 3k lounge less than 18months ago. Fabric frayed and then split straight through the middle of the cushion. Other lounge of heavy duty fabric is doing the exact same thing. Armrest has also frayed.
On delivery it had scratched feet and I was advised it was 'normal' during shipping so they had ordered spares.
Had to request a receipt as no one would issue one despite stating they had.
Attempted to recify approx 10 weeks ago. Still have not heard from the owner. I was encouraged to 'deal' with the manufacturer myself in China, to no avail. Despite breaching Australian Consumer laws and not issuing warranty, a very abrupt staff member advised me too bad so sad.
Had to lodge a dispute with fair trading and sought legal advice for compensation of lounge. In process now.
STAY CLEAR.when things go wrong all responsibility as a supplier who imports goods from China is lost.
Staff are rude and inconsiderate stating they are a humble employee who disregards your requests in writing.
Go to a reputable source that will listen to your concerns and honours their warranty responsibilities
Would not recommend to ANYONE. Staff have no idea what they are doing and are not helpful at all.

David first spoke to me in-store and arranged for Trevor to visit our home for an in home quote. The process was so smooth. Now all i need is some cold weather. Thanks again!
