My partner attended the vet surgery yesterday to make the hard decision to have her senior dog euthanised. She is currently battling cancer and was charged $700. The dog weighs less than 10kg is a small terrior. I find this outrageous and money hungry! Would not recommend this vet practice at all!

I've been to numerous vets in Wollongong with multiple dogs and honestly I can't speak highly enough about this vet and all their staff. They are empathetic, attentive, caring, understanding and always ready to to give me all the information I need about my dogs treatment and treatment plan. They are forthcoming and no questions are left unanswered and it's done in an efficient and effective manner. I've had a special case were my dog was flying under the radar with multiple illnesses and it took the amazing vets at Figtree less than a week to figure her diagnosis out. It's well-equipped with modern technology and personally I feel it's a one stop shop.

We have had a bad experience and wished we've read the comments on here before we took our beloved dog to this vet's!
One toepad got torn and was recommended to get stitches by them costed nearly 1 thousand $. We got charged as walking in when appointment were booked. We were never told that following check ups were never included in healing processes 2 days later $60 and every 2 consecutive days $130 for bandages and booked us on for next check up Xmas eve but left voicemail that the hospital were closed on the answering machine. We went back on their first reopened day. Our dogs foot didn't heal and got infected. Charged us another $130 and took no responsibility. Our dogs foot now treated as an open wound. Back to square one after all that infinity check ups and costly surgery! We're taking our dog's elsewhere. This place is expensive, unreliable, poor communication and misleading!
Please do not take your beloved animals here! Don't make the same mistake as us.

A big thank-you to Dr Leoni and all the staff at Illawarra Animal Hospital Figtree! They were all very friendly, caring, knowledgeable and helpful in the recovery of my bird. Super happy with the professional service.

The best veterinary care ever.
Highly recommended
Professional and with exceptional experience, the only vet I trust for my animals health and care.
I’d give 10 stars if possible

A big thank you deep from my heart for saving my life. I'm now known as Molly "the mass" Moore and a couple of kilos lighter. Not a weight loss program I'd recommend.
Again, thank you to all the staff and especially Dr Rebecca (Bek).

My bird is dead. Enough said. Terrible communication. Was meant to get a call from a vet to talk about what happened, but of course no one called. I wholeheartedly believe my bird would still be alive today if it was communicated to me that he was ready to be picked up. I honestly regret taking my bird here.
Update: in response to the response. I do not believe this to be true. My bird had sour crop which is a VERY COMMON condition that many young birds get. Poe was not "very sick" as you state. Poe had a mold case of sour crop. I do not appreciate that your reply tries to palm this off as an extreme case when it clearly wasn't. This was a case of neglect. None of your attempts at contacting me made any reference to him being ready to be picked up, even though I explicitly mentioned that I am 1 hour and 20 mins away and would need notice to come and pick him up. His condition had resolved, and something happened (neglect) between Saturday and him being found dead Sunday. You nor you vets made any attempt to contact me AFTER the discussion with your practice manager who "promised" I would receive a call from a vet as a means of investigating what may have happened. You simply washed your hands of it.hoping that time would provide you with the grace of amnesia. Not the case. This is not only about your inability to be honest with regards to publicly noting that sour crop is an incredibly common condition, but this is mostly about your poor efforts at caring.

Incredibly caring, professional and thorough clinicians to give us piece of mind and understanding of what may be troubling our fur child. Highly recommended

Although booked out, they made time to see my little mate who developed a nasty ear infection. Staff were very compassionate and caring. Having just moved to the area, it's good to have found a good bet for my dogs.

They were great in our final days with our cat Maia. They allowed her to live out her final days gracefully and looked after her very well.

We feel pretty lucky to have found a trustworthy local vet. The doctors and nurses are very caring and their puppy school was very helpful for us and our dog. Really made a difference in our dogs development thus far.

So impressed with the whole experience, team so friendly and helpful. Was able to get a same day booking actually within 10 mins! Vet nurses so helpful and Vet was brilliant with my Cat. Clinic is new and looks great. Plenty of parking.

I have no hesitation taking my dog here knowing he is getting the very best of care. The staff are amazing; truly caring towards all of the animals, and explain all procedures and treatments in a clear but professional manner. We were lucky enough to be given a brief tour (at Figtree) after puppy school and the facilities are immaculate, they have rehabilitation onsite, and their cat boarding service looked very clean and hygienic. But to me most importantly, they love animals

I’ve been taking my husky Pepi for treatment here with rehab vet, Dr Montana, since around November 2019. When we first started going he was in pain from arthritis and quite non responsive to medication. Pepi is naturally a bit of a sook but Dr Montana’s caring, kind and compassionate manner puts him at ease every time. After just one visit, he had improved considerably and now after six treatments with the TENS machine, laser and hydrotherapy treadmill, he’s like a puppy again. I can’t rate this clinic and its team highly enough. The front desk staff are just beautiful people, the nurses are wonderful and the vets incredible. We are so grateful to have found them. Thank you

Can't thank the team enough for looking after our ginger cat Eli. We really appreciated the regular updates while he stayed over the weekend. The care and respect shown to our boy put our minds at ease, as we knew Eli would be treated compassionately.

Dr Ryan was amazing with our ginger cat. He treated him like his own and made us feel at ease leaving him overnight.

We were incredibly stressed and upset, and Dr Ryan's attitude helped so much. Thankyou!

Above and beyond! Our 14 yr old Labradoodle lost the ability to walk in her hind legs. They made house calls and provided genuine care for her in trying to rehabilitate her.
Eventually we had her euthanized at home. The entire process was done with respect and dignity. Dr Nunes completely understood our grief and did not rush or mind our tears.
Can’t recommend them enough.
Sincerely Victoria Velozo

I really like the way Paul and the staff treat both the animals and their owners. They are polite, courteous and care about you. Paul is also open to discussing alternative therapies.
